what area in Toronto? generally you can find RSVPs at Grand&Toy, Staples, and other office stores.
if you want special colours or sometimes cheaper prices there are tons of art stores. There are tons of art stores but they're in different areas. -

if your in toronto you can try china town dragon city theres a store down stairs where theres lots of pens for modding like hgg and pentel random stuff and gelly rolls, in korea town you can try morning glory if your lucky they might have comssas or dong-a/monami products, go to pacific mall for hybrid rollers (the old one) the tip is exactly the same as hgg and theres lots of pentel stuff there from japan, and you can get other pens like signos and stuff so yeah alot of journeying have fun^__^

dragon city is the big building on spadina that says dragon city on it xD there a big arse screen on the building on it you cant miss it, theres a store on the bottom floor that sells magazines and theres stationary stuff too, they sell silver, black blue red hgg

No store has Ballsign pens because it's a Japanese pen.
But a pen of the same model called Jelly Rolls can be found in North America, but I can't remember where...

I went to Quebec City with my school and we had a little free shoppin time around this big mall. I was really bored and suddenly found this pen store with a LOT of good pens for sale and I even found a big pile of HGGs! As you people know, HGGs are not for sale in North American and now they are! But I think that store just somehow ordered them privately... So don't get your hopes too high! =O

Morning Glory in Metrotown has HGRs (HGG tip replacement) and some turquoise Gelly Rolls IIRC.
I haven't thoroughly explored Crystal Mall the 2 times I went there, but as far as I can see there's nothing interesting. Although one Korean stationary near the stairs (and across from that shoe store) has markers exactly like PLAYCOLOR2s. Onyx remembered seeing Anyballs (blue, black, red) there too, but I've never spotted any.
I'd rather spend my money in Sakura Media back in Metrotown though. Can't beat those Anime & videogame art/essay books, OSTs and J-albums.

Um ComSsa you can get at Morning Glory ( K-Town somewhere between Christie and Bathurst) sometimes and Souffle you can find at the Hyaku Yen store or dollar store in J-Town (it also sells Signos)

yeah ones better living has alot of japanese pens like pentel japan stuff, but theres not much psing pens there, just hybrid gel rollers, gelly rolls and signo, but in that same plaza they have currys there, and they have like a whole rack for tombow abt markers and they come in like every color

It's the mini mall close to Aberdeen.
If you have, there are HGGs upstairs in the Iwase book store. It's kinda big, so you can't miss it. Last time I checked, they had red, blue, and black HGGs. -

Smart Maple changes their pens for sale a lot... They weren't selling Ballsigns and Gelly Rolls until the past few weeks. -

Bellcolor are comssa substitutes...not KT. And bellcolors are only found in Europe as far as i know. The white body KT are the miffy&melanie markers found in japan only. -

For monami 153s you can just get em from a korean friend lol. Every single one of my Korean buds has at least like 3 packs of them. But if not your best bet is to scour Korea Town. I found some at my local Korean Convenience Store "Greenview Market" so they are around. Check anywhere korean and they might have them. Heck even P.A.T. might have them. But for most stores its a matter of when you go... you see, almost all the places will infrequently refill their like ComSsas or 153s and so half of the time you go there they won't have the pen... My friend used to buy real Anyballs and ComSsas at Morning Glory (About half way between Bathhurst and Christie on bloor) so I went and they said they didn't have them back yet so i Left. The point is that most places sometimes will have them and sometimes not so go there a few times to be sure they have them or not.
Anyways Jun and I went to morning glory a while back and apparently they were replace with a new Computer Sign pen made by Morning glory itself. They say it is better at writing(curse them). But apparently it is actually quite a good pen for modding, as in the body works like a double sided ComSsa(kinda) so if your in that area check it out they are quite cheap and in my opinion worth the money.

At one's there ain't that much good stuff... They got Lakubos, hybrids (HGG tip), Supergrips etc...
You should try something like Smart Maple, they always get some nice new jap pens. -

They only got the one with JUST tips (Pentel Hybrid).
The one the looks like G2, you mean Pilot Supergrip? It can, you just need to squish it around so it'll soften up. -

Some said HGGs are sold in Grand N Toy (I don't really think so)
HGRs are widely sold in Staples, if not you can always use like a profile grip for a MX. -

Chances are that your local Grand&toy wont have these pens in stock. so your gonna have to order them (takes about 3-4 days, you can do this on the site)
you could have the pens shipped to your local store but that means that they have to order boxes of these.(12) so your gonna end up with 12 of the same colors (not sure how much one box costs
WARNING: orders under $50 will cost you $15 in shipping and handling.

Finding HGG in stores is rare in Canada...i know when i was in vancouver they sold blue hgg at yaohan center. Your best bet it to simply buy/trade for the colors you want since you probably will never find them in stores. -

I recently went to Morning Glory in Ktown and i noticed something pretty nice:
They sell mini Zgrips for 79 cents each. The grips are nice to use
They sell miffy markers:|
As well as many random retractable pens/ mechanical pencils. You could use ur imagination for modding pens from that store.
Tomorrow i plan on going to dragon city to browse through their selection of pens or even look around china town for any small ,
overlooked stationary shops.

About the miffy markers, im not 100% sure but they SEEM like miffy markers
now about the time ill check it out one time ive only been there twice lol

I've been to pmall recently, got kinda disappointed by what I saw. Seeing that I'm new though and not too familiar with a wide range of pens, feel free to prove me wrong =P. I've also been to ktown, chinatown, pmall, curry's, multiple dollar stores, staples & grand and toys in the last week. Unless theres somewhere else that I don't know of, don't think you'll find comssas.

I found out that Yaohan in Vancouver doesn't have HGGs anymore, but they do have airfits and G-Spec Dr Grips, but they're ridiculously overpriced, the airfit costs $14 and G-Spec is $17. -

It's true, cartoon commsas are HEAVIER than normal doug a sign pens. but i dont think it's thicker, (I compared it myself) I think it's jsut the type of plastic they use that is different.

Our dollaramas have no more airfits than any others.
Jamie only found a couplde (ie 10) and could only buy two... when he went back they were all gone.
Not only spinners want them.. theyre a reallly really nice pen.

The way dollarama works is that the Head corp. buys tons of leftover stock from wherever and ships it out fairly equally to all the stores.
The stores have no ordering system, no way to restock, and what they have is what they have.
The corp. usually buys from companys going out of business/ small chinese companies(ie. fake beifas) for uber cheap in large quantities.
Thats how Dollarama's work. -

they are way too big for a KT or anything. Even by looking at it I could tell. Plus, I happened to have my KT on me so I compared sizes, and it is bigger. -

OK you cannot buy KTs/any other KT equivalents in J-Town. If you have never been to J-Town basically it is about 7 stores in a small are (basically 2 buildings).
The store that sold most of the pens has moved to different location in J-Town and has removed most of its spin worthy pens. It does however now contain many many many Gelly Rolls(as in like all metallic colours ) and a nice Mitsubishi Pencil substitute(a Tombow pencil). It still stocks Lakubos though I believe. For other pens however take a bus east to P-Mall(actually the market thing next to it). In it the stores(a few) have many different Japanese pens that are used by PSers.
Oh and there are no ComSsas in Korea-Town as Morning Glory no longer carries them... For HGGs go to Dragon City in China-Town(Red,Blue,Silver,Black). They have a selection of them in store. -

Theyre not online, not in their catalogue, not instore, not anywhere.
The only place importing them is Grand & Toy, and Pentel Canada backs up that claim.

Maybe the Staples catalog changed but I bought REAL Hybrid Gels Grips from that store a just few months ago.
I went into Staples and saw a catalog. I asked a cashier how I could order these pens. She said if I placed a special order through the store I could come and pick them up at Staples a couple weeks later and there would be no shipping charges. Believe what you want but for this one I am going by my own experience. I believe they import them along with their regular stock from the U.S. branches. Maybe that is why Pentel CANADA does not know. It is a SPECIAL order because they do not regularly import such pens into the country but if you ask specifically for it they will.
The Staples branch near Sherway Gardens(The Mall On Queensway) is the one I went to. If you would like to check in your store if what I am saying is accurate please go to the Staples near you and ask a store personnel. I am sure the staff would love to help you out. After all, we all want the best and the most up to date information in this thread.
Edit: oh and I am pretty sure seeing as I have been pen spinning/modding for over a year that I would know if a pen was an HGG or not.
Edit Edit: and for ComSsas I am pretty sure many Korean kids use them. Junn(Doesn't go on UPSB anymore) actually had 3 packs of Cartoon ComSsas in his old school stuff. If you have a Korean friend or are Korean beg them/you to look through their/your stuff. Chances are you'll find something useful whether it be a Monami 153, a ComSsa or some other pen used in modding. (This only applies to Korean Immigrants usually not second generation or higher.) - This skill requires 35 LUK to perform, but when used increases ComSsa amount by +1. -

Edit Edit: and for ComSsas I am pretty sure many Korean kids use them. Junn(Doesn't go on UPSB anymore) actually had 3 packs of Cartoon ComSsas in his old school stuff. If you have a Korean friend or are Korean beg them/you to look through their/your stuff. Chances are you'll find something useful whether it be a Monami 153, a ComSsa or some other pen used in modding. (This only applies to Korean Immigrants usually not second generation or higher.) - This skill requires 35 LUK to perform, but when used increases ComSsa amount by +1.

@Winterlocke: Lakubos(at least the grey body kind) can be found in J-Town, P-Mall and Market Village so many places all in the same place haha. But for Ottawa your best chance is to look for a Japanese store with a stationary section(rare but your best bet), also if there are any asian malls(like P-Mall) in Ottawa or the surrounding area they might be sold there. I do not live in Ottawa, however the next time you come by Toronto give one of us Torontonian spinners a PM, or a call, heck post in this board(maybe not) and one of us might be able to help you out ok?

If you are in BC yes Daiso is probably your best bet. Daiso in Japan is a large chain of basically what we would call dollar stores. Daiso in Japan usually sells everything from Rubber Duckies to Namae Pens, Rushons, Signos, Dr. Grips etc.

I got HGGs by calling grand&toy and they managed to get them in less then 24 hours. The only thing is the color selection is limited, so yeah I wouldn't be surprised if a college book store sold them.

I'm from Montreal, Quebec and I've found lots of pens...
Best stores for pens are Staples and Omer Deserres.
Staples' pens have been explained (by the way they DO have airfits except they're the expensive hybrid pen/pencil kind).
Omer Deserres has nice pens like Gelly Rolls, G2, etc.
If anyone wants to find some HGGs in Quebec, I've already seen some in Renaud Bray (a book store), I was shocked. xD -
