dr. kt act alike

    I have finally found a Dr. KT act alike that not only acts like one, but uses easy to find parts and costs just a few dollars.

    Information:
    Length: slightly shorter than Dr. KT (about 1-2 cm shorter)
    Weight: ~Dr. KT
    COP=COG
    Difficulty: easy

    Materials used:
    2 BIC round stics (or one pre-modded BICtory)
    gripping scheme (i used: 3 g2 grips: blue, green, black; 1 pilot supergel (or is it supergrip) grip (the clear one); 1 mechanical pencil grip)
    2 tips (i used ones from an advertisement pen, ill show the pics of the pens, but signo tips should work quite well)

    1. take your BICtory, or mod a BICtory

    2. Take the caps off the BICtory

    3. place 4 sections of pilot clear grip on each cap

    4. add on about 1 cm of mechanical pencil grip, leaving about 1/3 cm sticking out at the end

    5. superglue two fishing weights into your tips

    6. use the mechanical pencil grips to hold the tips in place like the Dr. KT
    -NOTE: if your tips do not hold well, i recommend switching tips or glueing them on


    7. add on g2 grips ON TOP of the mechanical pencil grips, so that the g2 grip is pushed right to the edge of where the mechanical pencil grips holds on the tip
    -my gripping scheme: cap 2 black, 1 green, 2 blue tip

    8. YOUR DONE

    FINISHED PRODUCT:

    And like 5 mins ago I jsut made a mod almost like this with HGG tips and Profile grips

    Its just a bictory with a fancy grips and ive spun bictorys with g2 grips on it before and it spins nothing like a kt the momentum is way different and the barrels size is no where near the width.

    IMO this is NOT a Dr.kt act alike. The difference in barrel diameter is just too big for it to perform like a Dr.kt. Bic based pen mods simply do not make good substitutes because of the barrel.

    Id also like to point out that mod this is just a bictory with fishing weights glued on the ends in addition to metal tips and probably does not need its own name, tutorial, and thread.
    Just my opinion

    yea i have a kt actually but i usually dont bring it to school in case of losing it

    Hi. Interesting mod. I think it has a kind of ghetto feel to it because of the fishing weights laugh.gif
    I don't think they're included in the list of needed materials, btw. Also, the lowermost image doesn't show up for me. You should probably check your link.

    iunno.. i hav something similar. signo tips, and random grips. and.... its KINDA like a kt.. but.. ya.. the barrel is too small :/ the momentum and weight is about right.. but the barrel.. eww
