Talked about it in the irc, wanted to discuss it here.
Any one else think this is giving rubik's a bad name?

C'mon, if you cant solve a real cube nowadays and need one of these, then you my friend are a moron!

That isn't a Rubik's cube... that's just a cube with stickers on it.
Really dislike that they put the "Rubik's" in it, but I guess it's all about marketing. Will sell more with that name than it would with "Cube Revolution" for example.

Get the real cube and learn how to solve it instead wink.gif

...totally pointless, and nowhere near a "Revolution".

    QUOTE (FAQ)
    Q. Do the coloured sides move like the original Cube?
    A. No, the sides do not move, but you must turn and spin the Revolution in your hands just like the original Cube in order to play each game.

How can they compare it to a Rubik's cube by saying you have to turn it.. it's a block with buttons.

I remember when I wanted to buy my first Rubik's cube .. I went to Toys'R'US and looked for the puzzle section and they had these cubs for $30 each ... and I'm thinking, "These looks pretty... big?"

So I asked the staff what the hell they were and she said that it wasn't a Rubik's cube. dry.gif

How is it a 'revolution'? It is not challenging, it does not require lots of brain power and it does not take hours for beginners to solve it. To me, a revolution would be light-up pieces. Awesome for solving in the dark. I can't even find the actual ones in the Walmart in my area. Just Revolution.

Revolution is... as we been saying a marketing ploy to sell crap to people with even a little money.
Really now? I found all Walmarts carry them. Must be sold out after the holidays.
