Regular Pen Discussion / Sunbursts

so i was wondering if it's possible to get the graphics off of a sunburst
and also, if you can, would it be just the same thing as a rsvp color?
or does the sunburst have a thicker barrel..i believe i heard that somewhere
and sunburst has that little disk thing in the backcap too
but other than those two factors, are they exactly identical (provided that the graphics come off of both) -

when you remove the graphics off a sunburst barrel, it just looks like a regular rsvp barrel, clear and yes its possible

k, and this would be done with just those regular white erasers used for the erasing the normal rsvp writing?QUOTE (Zigosity @ Jan 17 2008, 12:07 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>20 mol\L HCL
do you realize how hard it'll be to get ahold of that
in my life, i've only been near a 6 molar sample of HCl -

use nailpolish remover, but RSVP colors have colored plastic, so you cant. on regular RSVP's, you can remove the writing.

so, you can't remove the writing from a rsvp color
i already know that you can remove from a regular rsvp
and so, use nailpolish remover on sunbursts to remove the graphics? -

Nail Polish remover can take of any writing thats on top of any barrel.
i mis-understood you about the RSVP colors... -

If you want to remove the writing from RSVP colors just use an eraser. It's a lot easier than nail polish remover that might eat away at the pen.

my main concern is just the sunburst graphics, not really anything else >.<

Are there any notable differences between the two pens? Also, does a Better Retractable mechanism fit in either barrel?

theres more colors avaliable for sunburst. and sunburst has a colors thing all over the barrel. in the cap sunburst has a ring when rsvp has a ball. and i think sunburst's has a different body thickness

Ya, what WhiteFang said, and that it writes with a gel ink, not normal ink. The ink tube is also thicker.
-

Yep what whitefang said. The bodies are different. The inside of the sunburst is larger than a regular RSVP. This is because Sunbursts use HGG type ink and need the larger barrel.

Sunburst body is also a little bit shorter lengthwise. Bet a lot of you guys didnt know that
-

Body is shorter.
Grip zone is longer.
Front isn't exactly the same, different shape
Comes in various colors
Body has design on it.
Can fit HGG ink tubes (body is thinner but allows more space)
Back thing in the back of the cap is beige-ish and is flat.
That's it if I haven't forgotten anything -

Thanks guys, I'll try and see if I can find some sunbursts in my area. They seem like they are a lot better than rsvps for making retractable mods

If your retractable pen you're trying to make has a big retractable system, yeah it's useful because you have more room inside.

wow i didnt know they're so different
what about the other "RSVP-like" pens? moonz, razzle dazzle, etc -
Date: Sat, Feb 9 2008 17:54:24
Well, body and sizes of Razzle Dazzle, normal RSVPs and Moonz are the same, altho Moonz and Razzle Dazzle seem to be a tad heavier, they are always nicer to spin, don't know why, I'll have to look into it.
Cubix is a RSVP with plastic insert inside.
Colors is Razzle Dazzle with colored grips.
Rsvp Gel is a razzle dazzle with sunburst sizes and colored grips, basically.
Retractables and Minis are another story.
