Pen Modifications / Need a new pen.

I want to upgrade a bit and get a pen that is better then the MX, and that I can get the materials for it here.
Can anyone advise on some good pens? It must be a one sided pen, ability to write not important. -

It really depends on you to see what you like, try different pens out.

If you are looking for a pen that is heaver than the mx but similar to it you could always try out the MX2

MX2 seems a bit overly complex without much improvement over a normal MX, especially since I use a G3/4 tip so it's more balanced...
I don't know all the pens I can get, just name a few mods that are good and I'll see what I can find. No Com-ssas though. -

I don't know about the MX^2 not being a big improvement... I can't spin regular MX's at all. MX^2 I can spin well though, and it looks much much cooler.
If you want a great spinning pen that's like an MX, MSXA is always a great option. That uses Comssa caps though, so you might not be able to make it.

I considered MSXA, it's just getting the caps that is rather bothersome.
I only have 3 RSVP colors, 1 is gay, one is not really cool(purple), and one that's good. -

If you like the MX a lot... you could try the MSXA or the AMMX... those aren't bad

Considered the MMX and AMMX, but the MMX doesn't have a grip and the AMMX needs an Anyball grip, which I know I can't get.
MX^2 sounds like a pretty good idea after researching it a bit. I'm just wondering if the improvement is big enough to worth all the cost of all those pens. -

You say that you want a pen that is better than the mx. Again i will say that no pen is better than the other. If you wanted better help you could specify what you mean by a better pen. Length? Weight? Momentum? How else will we know is a better pen for you? Personally, I think the mx is the best single sided pen there is.

Well then, more weight and better momentum is what I'm looking for. MX isn't too long for me but if it gets much longer then this(Like I think the MSXA will be) then it might be a problem. -

you found RSVP??? Where?! I've been searching for them for like.. years >.>
and anyway, I think I saw a mod which uses RSVP and G2, which I believe you can find. I think it was called RSVG2 or something..
can't tell you if it's good or not, since I have not found RSVP's, and couldn't make it.

It's called an MMX and I already stated I don't like it because of the lack of grips.
As for RSVPs, Office Depot has one pack of RSVPs colored Sky blue, Pink and Purple...
Since it's the only gel-pen from Pental they have it's well hidden amongst other pens, so look carefully. -

I tried in office depot, spend like an hour there, and even checked their catalog. nothing.
and I new I saw something with G2 wich isn't the MMX. It's this one: http://www.upsb.info/wiki/index.php/RSVG2
but only now I see it's lighter then the MX, so I'm not guessing you're going to use it. -

I'm not a huge fan of one-sided mods other than the fact that they don't look like a baton when spinning in public
But, if I had to choose a one sided mod thats a step up from an MX, I would have to say AMMX is definetely up there. The grip on the one side is enough for infinity tricks and variations.
You could always make one using any random grip that you can find in your area as well.
Otherwise, if you can get a hold of an expo dry-erase marker (the kind the the thinner longer caps, you can make my mod: EXVP
All you need is the same kind of back-cap on the MX (rsvp with grip inserted), an rsvp pen body with grip (if you do not want to sacrifice a grip that is mostly hidden by the expo cap, you can just replace the grip with teflon tape), and the cap from the expo dry-erase marker.
Its a little bit longer than an mx (maybe a couple of millimeters), appears one-sided, has a COG at COP if you add enough grips on the front cap, and works well with infinity tricks

I only used anyball grip because I can get it here, you can grip it with anything you want. I made a few with the lined sections of a Pilot G2 grip.... -

Just dual cap and RSVP with a cap with a grip up it. I spin that and I love it.

it depends on what kind of pen you want, if you want length then make an msxa, but i dont think you can get comssas in isreal. if you want lots of momentum then make a dr.kt. if you like short and light mods then it would be either ballsign or bictory.
