To put in insert it, you wrap it up with the inktube and stick it in. To take an insert out you can use tweezers. As for the twisting thing, I think the insert is too long. If you're using an RSVP body, make sure that the insert doesn't come out of the body when you've put it in all the way, if it does then cut it down and you should be fine.

    Insert insertion @ the wiki.

I guess I should add something about insert extraction too. dry.gif

I usually use my exacto knife to pull an insert out with. The tip of the blade can pull the paper without tearing, unless you really yank it out too hard.

Taking out an insert doesn't take that much skill. It depends on what type of pen you have, if you have a pen that can won't matter if you got it wet, just soak the pen barrel into a cup of water. Later the paper will get all soggy and fall out by itself....

I use paper clips to get out the inserts(You need to stretch it up first), which I think it's easier since it's small so it can ALWAYS get the insert out 'cause the barrel needs to be big enough for an insert to go in and blah blah blah, you get the point.

well for me, i just use the inktube and sorta pull at it and try to drag it out of the barrel (in a rsvp barrel with reversed inktube)
i like this way cause it doesn't require any other tools

Question about inserts, um when you print inserts do use the program which the insert was made or other programs (word, etc) to print your inserts.
Also when your printing inserts, where do u change the DPI?
    Thanks in advance.

For me, I just make an/save image and just use print it no need to use programs or stuffs. As for DPI, you should ask a genius for that xD

lets take the red and blue version of the Korean line inserts for instance, http://upsb.info/wiki/images/c/cc/00065_rasen.jpg im using Gimp 2.4.1, and i wanted to know how to go about finding the exact color of red used to recolor the insert on the red side, when i use color chooser i get various shades of red and cant find the right value. I dont simply want the exact color because i honestly dont need the red persay, but i need to know the process. I need to know this because im trying to make a fade using two one-colored-inserts as a base and wanted to combine the exact colors used in a recolor.
