Would you want them to like it?

I was just reading a topic on girls that game and how some guys love it and some don't actively seek that out. I read some stories where the guy will actually lower his standards just for the sole fact the girl plays games. She could be nasty, smelly, and have a bad personality, but the guy will still go out with her because she plays games. That's just one extreme, though.

I was somewhat interested in this one girl back in college and she played games. She loved Zelda and RPGs, which I also like, but man, I'm glad I didn't go any further with her cause she's crazy.

Anyways! My question to you all is, would you want a girl that pen spins? Or if you have one already, do you want her to like pen spinning? I personally don't really care. I think the differences in hobbies will make for a great and interesting relationship. On the other hand, if my gf ever wanted to learn, I could definitely teach her and that would be awesome. The only pitfalls I can foresee are extended periods of alone time dedicated for spinning, and fights over which mods to keep. laugh.gif Oh, and whether she can have some HGGs or not.

Right now, the only couples I know that share an interest of spinning are Tekken King & Queen ™, and Eriror & fairy. Wonder how it's working out?

NINJA EDIT: I pose this question to girls as well. Would you seek out a guy that can spin? Or if you already have a bf, do you mind if he spins or considers the topic at all? ph34r.gif

Definitely a big plus if you ask me. Not to an extreme, but it's really nice addition if she likes it as well.

I'm dating Jynxed IRL, and I got her into it.
I just started spinning and she kinda wanted to get into it too.
I made her MX out of a black rzdz & green Hgg +rsvp grips. I thought it was kinda cool.
Anyways, she only knows fundamentals, and I think the shadow & korean backaround.
She's not super obsessed with it like I am, but it's nice that she got into it. happy.gif

For my point of view, there is no need for my girlfriend to know how to pen spin(although I don't have one now) but I think, it's better for each other to get interested with each other hobbies... Even if she don't pen spin, at least get interested in what will I be talking about for pen spinning. Example, the current tricks I am learning, the recent world cup's result, talking about pen spinners.

Cos pen spinning is our hobby, we tend to talk about it often. And sometimes ppl just don't get interested. But if your girl gets interested and listen to it, I think the relationship will not be dull...

I don't care if they spin pens. If they do spin pens maybe I'd be their friend or something. To me, it's not a big deal. But hey I'm only 13 so well yeh.

I thought it was cute that she picked it up.
Just another one of those "together" activities.
But using pen spinning as a motivation to like a girl? Not so much.

Hmm, I don't know how the mind of a girl works. wacko.gif

But okay, I'll ask the question for both genders. At least try, anyways. tongue.gif

    hmm..... nice question P:
I don't have a GF right now, but I think that as long as my GF won't hate or care that I spin, It's fine for me. If she's interested in it, so we could talk about it, It would be a plus, but to be honest, I think dating a girl which is a PS addict like me... I'm not sure i'll like it, It's a good thing having some different hobbies X:

It wouldn't matter at all - What is most important is that you make each other happy. If you share no common hobbies, but have the most amazing time together, that's all that counts.

i'd love to get a gf into penspinning

but it ain't gonna happen due to the fact that every none of my gfs really want to mellow.gif

Bleh, and i don't want to break up and have her still doing it because then there's know point

if she already penspins then that's kickass for me.

Lol I wouldn't like a girlfriend who spins pen. That's just scary.

But yeah if in the future I get a girlfriend that actually pen spin, I hope you guys won't dig this thread up.

well my ex-gf didn't spin pens and could almost care less about me spinning. she'd be doing hw and such and i wouldnt learn a new trick (when i learned devil's sonic comes to mind) and i was hey check it out, and she would barely even glance at me doing it....so i think it would be nice if they had some slight interest or even pretended to care. but oh man did she have flexible and dexterious fingers, she would have been way better than me, and i dont know how i would feel about that because of hard i practice. anyway so to answer the question....

    eh.

I know a girl spinning is always cool. I have nothing against that. But my own girlfriend? Umm... That's like a real life Lucia or TEQ or Me'Toon.
For pen spinning... It's more of a private hobby... If I wanna share it, I'll come to UPSB myself.

my gf is SOMEwhat into it, just basics like sonic-rise/fall, TA(almost) finger pass(rather fluent) but besides that, not a whole lot, she wouldn't actively seek it out. Of course its a cool thing to be able to brag about it sometimes, but in all honesty unless they're hardcore about it, they really won't care..my gf just likes the "making" of the pens..i love her:D

    NIgga Hell nooo!!!!

I dont care if she can spin or not. Theres this one girl, peggy....ZOMFG she is the ugliest person you can think of. I can describe her but it will offend somebody on this forum.
If she is one hell of a spinner, I will never talk to her.

Pen Spinning is just a minor attribute that no one cares for.

    *edit*

Unless if she's decent looking in every way.

Aww.. Are you afraid you will lose popularity by talking to such a girl? Not looking good isn't a disease, you know.

As for me, it's always nice to share your interest with someone you hold dear. It's not a prerequisite or something. I'd still love fairy as much even if she wouldn't be interested in penspinning. tongue.gif

Ha, I completely agree on that, Eriror.
I was dating Jynxed for almost two years before I got in PSing.
When I got into it, and could do fundamentals & some advanced, she finally admitted her curiosity.
So I spent time with her showing her how to do it. It was kinda cute since I had to stand over her shoulder and position her hands just right. Plus, giving positive comments is always nice.
(People can get such a rush from just being able to do a TA. tongue.gif)

Anyway, had she never asked, I wouldn't have minded.
It'd just be one of the things that I know, and vise versa.
She knows how to apply makeup and I know how to PS. Opposites attract, you know?

But on the other hand, it's nice that she DID ask.
Like I said before, it's always nice to do something together.
Not only that, but be some of the few that CAN do this. tongue.gif

l tend to lean towards girls who like and play sports because they are in better shape, they are not anorexic, they dont have as many problems and i like to play like every sport (except badminton and cricket). but if it solely has to do with ps then that would be a super weird relationship and probs wouldnt last very long. I would actuall raise my standards 4 a girl that spins

Well, I'm currently engaged to a girl I love (we're getting married this summer), and she's okay with spinning pens. I mean, she's not into it personally, but she respects my skills. I've got to say, it makes me feel really, really good.
Even though I know I'm not perfect, it always cheers me up when she tells me I'm really good at spinning my pen.

So far she's tried the fingerpass, and once I tried to teach her a thumbaround. The problem with trying to teach her is that she's not really into pen spininng, except for short moments when I give her my pen when I leave her alone for a moment. However, she respects me doing it a lot, and often tells me she thinks I'm great at it (among other things).

I don't think holding a hobby in a very big role when you're dating is a good idea. Both sides should let each other be who they are.
Ahh, now my thoughts start to wander off. Sorry rolleyes.gif
