So kam talks about a PS card game in the podcast, and since I love making game rules, I tried to make some for PS too.

    Game #1

    - Best played with 3-8 players.

    - Each player creates 10 cards. On each card, write a trick. The trick must not specify a position but it still has to be a specific trick, not families. Also you can include small hybrids. The cards can be duplicate.

    - We shuffle the deck with everybody's cards. The players sit in a circular fashion. A dealer gives each player 5 cards clockwise.

    - Each player select one card from his hand and pass it to the person to the left. Then, each player select a card and pass it to the person to the right.

    - The player to the left of the dealer must now execute a combo composed ONLY of 4 out of 5 cards he has, in any order, without dropping the pen and adding new tricks. Also it has to be "somewhat smooth". S/he has 3 tries.

    - Combo can be executed 1p2h.

    - If that person fails, s/he is eliminated from the game and the circle becomes smaller. The round is over when everybody has (attempted) to execute their combo.

    - The person to the left of the old dealer becomes the new dealer and the game continues with the players remaining, except we now add 1 more card to everybody's hand, so that they must execute a combo with 5 tricks out of 6 cards, then the round after it's 6 tricks out of 7 cards, etc...

    - If everybody succeeds their combo, everybody still in the ring must create a new card and add it to the deck. A new round is started (with one extra card dealt).

    - If everybody failed their combo, we restart the round with new hands dealt (but we don't increase the number of cards dealt).

    Game #2

    - Best played with 2-8 players.

    - The person to the left of the dealer starts the game by drawing a card from the deck and placing a card on the table.

    - Successively, each player must draw a card from the deck and either place another card on the table or pass. If that person passes, s/he must reshuffle the deck with his/her hand and is considered out of this round.

    - Once everybody has passed, the LAST person to put a card on the table must execute the combo indicated by the cards on the table, in the order they were placed.

    - The person has 3 tries to execute the combo. It must be "smooth" and error-free.

    - Combo can be executed 1p2h.

    - If s/he succeeds, s/he wins the game and everybody else is a loser. If s/he fails, s/he is eliminated from the game, and another round starts with the remaining players (rotate the dealer too).

    - If during a round, the deck runs out of cards, then you stop drawing new cards and just play cards from your hand. If you run out of cards (very very unlikely), then the round ends here and the first person to run out of cards must execute the combo.

If you got any questions, other games, comments, post here.

if you have cardboard, you can write tricks with pencil on them, and erase them when you finish the game.

you can also use an existing deck of cards and write tricks on them with pencil and erasing after.

(which kinda makes me want a deck of cards like that...since i dont 'really have a complete deck of cards at the moment ohmy.gif )

Wouldn't it be cool if there were cards like Magic cards, instead of monsters there would be a nice shot of the trick and a difficulty rating? Could be completely sweet. And below there will be a description of the trick, creator, type of spin.. it could be just like Magic, only with Pen Spinning! Totally awesome.

    another way to get cards:

    - Do what we call "proxies" in Magic. Take a small piece of paper, write the trick on it. Then insert it in a plastic protector along with a (Magic) card. That you have cards that can be manipulated, with whatever you want on the paper.

I think both games sound quite good, however, with so few pen spinners, I guess they will only be played at gatherings. If only there was an upcoming gathering to try some of these games out at...
