Not quite as many articles as planned in this issue. Leave comments, requests and ideas here! I want to improve with more varying articles, an insert with every issue, new pens etc actually being released in the mag instead of on the forums directly, and more things. Good ideas, bad ideas?

is that picture of Cheukii on the cover?

i cant figure out how to download it from megaupload...

    Date: Mon, Feb 4 2008 22:47:04

No it's not >_< I just noticed the Cheukii text is too close to the picture. The picture is just a connection to the WC, so no it's not Cheukii, and no I don't know who it is either I just know that CrAsH allowed me to have it on the cover.

    nice!!!

my article is really hard to read tho, maybe it should have been divided into more paragraphs :/

    lol so many spelling mistakes

    "Bonkura the Ledgend"

    "will be published SEPERATLY"

and [email protected]? wtf, this email doesnt exist huh(1).gif

    'Gathering over the day,
some of them having travelled more
    than 600km having travelled more
    than 600km.'

    lol

    The magazine needs a proof-reader.

I've read a few articles and they have all been really excellent so far! The news was very interesting and the layout looks pretty good. Great job!!!

    Rerelease! lol

Corrected the misstakes mentioned this far. Is the font too small? Your article was easier to read in word, where I think the text might have appeared bigger. The gaps between the paragraphs might also have been clearer.

Actually Sfsr [at] upsb [dot] info exists, xshadowfire made me the address upon request.

Zombo, can you upload it to the UPSB server? I want a directlink...

oh ok, i thought arcturus was supposed to be proof-reading tho?

cuz there's many more mistakes... maybe firebird will do it.

btw, why not ask readers to send emails to the magazine, and we can answer them in the next issue?

like "Readers' mail" section or something.

    Readers mail sounds great ^^

    Wow, that's really nice.

It reminded me I need to get pens for an MX^2.

The article on Bonkura was nice, too. I had always wanted to know more about him.

    Great job, everyone.

It was great but yea it was a little short. I think it was better than #2 though.

The readability is fine (good choice of font and size). Not sure how others feel, but I think the inset quotes look nice enough to use one per article. If the quote is poignant, it can draw the reader's attention to an article he/she may have otherwise skipped. I agree it could be somewhat longer, but good job so far.

ps728 is going to retire? that's a shame

Also, why is Cheukii on the front page when Joshy was interviewed?

Great job, I can't wait till edition three.

Cheukii was the one who got interviewed by CrAsH. Joshy was the one who was supposed to be Featured in this issue, which means he was gonna write an article about himself. I never got it though, but I'm still hoping I'll receive it soon, and release it separately (spelled CORRECTLY this time :D)

Also, 'till edition *four actually. This was so called #3.

I'm glad that people liked it anyways, and this is all still really new so of course it'll improve over time :) Also, if you want it to improve you can help and write an article for the next issue. That way it won't be as short ^^

edit: thanks for putting it in the wiki sketching ^^

I realy liked it, just one thing to Xero:
I think because of its cost the MX^2 isn't perfect- sure it may be the best pen out there atm but its not perfect ^^
Maybe in the next article when you evaluate pens you can add a little chart with the plus and cons of the pen.

Certain Asians count being in the womb as being 1 year, so you basically take your age and add 1 and you get your Korean (or Chinese/Japanese/Vietnamese/etc) age.

I thought the magazine was a good effort. The consistent use of 3 columns was kind of annoying, especially when used for long paragraphs such as Zombo's and Mats' entries. Also, the title for Cheukii's interview was on the lower left in the previous page, so that was easily missed. I thought the title was missing altogether!
Also, for the pictures from the gatherings, I would try and stack them and add captions. The other news bits could have been a smaller font and italicized to make room for the pictures and captions.

Next time, a good rule of thumb is to have just enough whitespace. Clutter is bad.

The articles were pretty good. Some of them were written in an informal tone, which I don't know is intended or not. My favourite article was the Bonkura one. You surprised me, Xero.

This was really impressive and nicely done. The layout and the Penspinning news at the beginning gave it a professional look. Good job, looking forward to read the next issue!

I like the picture from the SweSpin gathering compared to the Stuttgart gathering pic biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
And the Bonkura article was touching...

I printed this one out and read in. Honestly? I rather liked #2 better.
but this one was still very good.
I would like to do an article for the next one. Maby 2?

i really like the the bonkura article. but xero, in the mx^2 article, try not to be too personal (dont know if thats how to put it). like instead of saying, "the tricks I can do easily with the mx^2 are..." maybe say, "the tricks easily done with an mx^2 are..."
lol i hope i explained that right.

I know what you mean. Instead of coming from a personal perspective, make it into a 3rd person view. happy.gif
