So I saw K4S's KT Bictory Mod to use up those extra Keityo barrels and small caps and basically applied it to a Tombow Mod.

I recklessly removed all the ink from my Tombow Mod, and wasn't so happy with it being much lighter and losing the ability to write, so this is the best solution I can come up with (plus it writes in regular ink, not marker. So I can use it all the time biggrin.gif )

    Parts Needed:
    - 1 Complete Tombow Mod
    - 2 Bic Stic Grips
    - Teflon Tape

1.) Remove all marker ink, marker tips, and the plastic holder for the small tip side from the completed Tombow Mod. Now you should have an empty barrel.

2.) Remove the ink tip from one of the Bic Stick Grips. (As shown in the parts picture above. It is the top ink tube.)

3.) For the second Bic Stic Grip, pull out the grip and ink and leave it together (as shown in the parts picture above. It is the bottom ink tube.)

4.) Trim the ink tubes from the back, making sure that you do not cut into the ink. I do not have exact measurements, but if you hold the ink tube up to the light, you can see where the ink ends. Just cut it off about 1-2 millimeters above that point.

5.) Now wrap a little bit of teflon tape around the ends of the ink tubes. This reduces the noise made by the ink tubes while spinning so you cannot even hear them.

6.) Get your Bic ink tube without the grip and plastic section and force it into the large marker end of the now empty Tombow ABT barrel. You may have to shave out the inside, as there are bumps that held in the marker ink previously in order for the new ink to fit in nicely.

7.) Get your other Bic Stic Grip ink tube (with grip and plastic section) and stick it right inside the huge open end of the Tombow barrel. You may want to add some teflon tape around the outside of the grip for it to get a better fit in the barrel.

8.) Reattach your large Tombow Caps with grips to your liking and you have a Tombow mod that writes in regular ink happy.gif

I hope this can help out some people with lighter Tombow Mods due to all the marker ink removed.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated tongue.gif

Does COP=COG? Since you're using more of the round stic grip body on one end, is the mod still balanced?

    Looks good btw.

Surprisingly, the balance is right there. MAYBE 0.5 millimeter off of the CoP. I think it ended up being well belanced because the removed back plug that housed the small marker tip was replaced by the bic stic grip ink housing. I'll add a balance photo to the first post.
