Hello all
I am here to tell u all how to make a UBER heavy mod using the Zig clean colour. The original mod is by ultimatz(i think i spelt it correctly) and this is based on dathroat's variation. it is heavier than a KT so beware.
Specifications(to be filled in)
Weight : Zig>Dr. KT
Length: ??
Writable: No
Materials
1 Zig Clean Colour
1 Pencil (non mechanical)
2 TwinArt Caps
2 G2-EX tips
8 HGG tips(woops)
Grips of choice
Step 1:
Remove the inktube and writing tips from the Zig Clean Colour
Step 2:
Put 3 HGG tips in each TwinArt Cap
Step 3:
Stick the pencil through the Zig body and saw off the excess. Put some tape on so that the caps will stay.
Step 4:
Put 1 HGG tip in each G2-EX tip and put electrical/scotch tape to secure it.
Step 5:
Push the 2 G2-EX tips into the TwinArt Cap.
Step 6:
Put the TwinArt Caps onto the pencil
Step 7:
Put your grips onto the TwinArt Caps
Completed Product without G2-EX tips cause i can't get them yet. I used signo tips for the moment -

But honestly.... 8 HGG TIPS!?
That's like up to 16$ worth if I had to get them here in the states......
Why not fill your caps with soldering wire instead to reduce the cost of this.. ..thing that would probably make my hand hurt by using...

sorry sorry, the pics would be up in 2 days. and yes 8 HGG tips, or you could replace it with the lead core of a flexible curve. just stuff it in.

Nah. I NEVER used 8 HGG tips, 2 at most(1 on each side).
8 is serious over-kill.
I don't use them now though, since I ran out of HGGs, and had to take them out to make other stuff.

well anyways.. dont abuse... it is seriously overkill... use red leaf pen tips instead... cheaper by the dozen.
i only use 1 tip per side only... kindly dont use so much as it is seriously useless...

oh yes.. just to let you all know the history of this zig and twin art caps mods.
1st.. zig mod.. just stick twin art caps to the caps.. with no tips is 20cm long
2nd.. zig mod with signo tips on each end.. turns out to be long...
variant 1st.. dathroat uses twin art caps on ballsign body instead.. (the one that looks like ballsign. to fight 1st battle with pholord)
3rd.. moved to ballsign body (me) "logically this is actually dathroats mod" but mines with the tip outside and extra grips at the back.
variant 2nd.. dathroat uses my 2nd for his freestyle (the green and orange pen on his videos)
variant 3rd.. deathangel used my 2nd and placed sailor gel grips and call it (thomas famous mod)
variant 4th.. dathroat made da zig mod with pencil inside the zig barrel. the mod he uses now.
variant 4th.. "my version" with only some pencil on each side. not fully pencil. lighter than dathroats alot
variant 4th abusal.. "inoob version" with many many tips and stuff like that. -

and you might want to change your nick to something that actually sounds like its spelling. and its not abusal. and mine looks nicer than deathangel's and dathroat cause they were using the wrong colour for the sky blue end -

Mine is the same, until step no. three. It need not be hgg tips....any metal tip will do, as long as it can fit inside the twin art cap.(DUH)
BUt, instead of using metal tips, i use blue tack. Its kinda heavy after that, but the amount of blue tack u want to use is up tp you. If you want it to be heavier then put more. HAHA!
I noe some pen spinners who like heavy pens.....so, i was thinking that HE could try this out!

Eh I still cannot fit the pencil into the barrel. IS there anything else you need to do with the zig clean colour other than removing the ink? Arggh I'm nearing to finish the twinart mod!

IcyJX@ okay, i see your problem. You cant seem to pull out the ink rite?? HAHA. Use a plier...its very easy. Then put in pencil into the barrel, saw off the excess and put back the zig cap. I hope this help you! HAHA.

Is it just me or are those pens/markers only on sale in Singapore??
I made a similar mod using a Laurentien twin tip marker... I hope it's similar to this zig mod

Eh what I meant is fitting the pencil into the barrel. I don't see a pencil that can fit into the small hole, so how did you all get that pencil? Or you just saw off part of the tip of the marker? Or you all cut of outer side of the pencil away??
Edit: I think I know my problem...Can any of you post the pic of the marker after removing the ink? -

Sorry to bring this thread up again, but any suggestions on how to make the signo tips stay tight in the Twin Art marker caps ?

erm...try not to use signo tips. Use a lager metal tip instead. The tip can be frm anypen. Just experiment it urself. FOr me, i am using faber castle gel pen metal tip on the twi art caps.

er yeah its heavier than my kt. haha anyway the brand of the pen you used for the tip is faber castle ?
and what grip did you use ? i cant seem to fit the supergrip's grip onto the twin art cap

u can use signo tips. u just need to wrap some insulator tape around the base.
as for the supergrip's grip , ur not trying hard enough just force it in with alot of force xD

i changed to the tip of ' GT-Grip plus' and it fits the cap pretty well. and yeah i managed to pull the supergrip's grip over the cap after boiling it and applying a small amount of soap on the cap as lubricant. now my nails are aching

Sfsr's variation:
Zig Clean Color body
Twin Art caps
Signo tips
G-2 Ex grips
The caps are attached to the body using the front part of Super Grip pens. Cut off at the start of the barrel and the screw-threads in the front. Insert the thin part into the body of the Zig, and tape the parts that remain out so the caps fit tight. Tape around the base of the tips so they fit tightly on the caps.

Cool variation, Sfsr! Although i think that using a pencil would be much cheaper, but most people probably have 2 spare supergrip bodies lying around. I like it!

Haven't tried with G-2s instead of Super Grip. The reason why I used Super Grip pieces instead of a Pencil is to not make it so heavy in the middle ^^ You can use any other grip too, but I got the mod with G-2 Ex grips, since it also was with those tips from a start, so I just left the grips on.
