Hello everybody, I'm Skahars, I'm from the FPSB.
Firstly, excuse me if I make many english mistakes ^^
Secondly, I created this topic to tell you an idea, a project.
You know that the world penspinning is very vast, every spinner has his speciality (Big tricks, business, tricks creation, modding, videos, etc...)
Mine is modding (I think this is the official word ^^ ) I'm one of the best modders of the FPSB, I also created the Perfect Retractable RSVP, the Imag1n' (very good success) and others...
After this introduction, I tell you what my idea is => my project is the WMC : World Modders Community
It's a board consecrated to modding only. It will be a universal modding board.
Every modding lovers will be able to talk about their projects of mods, crazy or simple, to tell their discoveries (new pens, etc...) their questions about mods.
All the modders will be able to work by teams or duos or whatever they want to create best mods for all the boards.
Also there will be dictionnary of all modding terms, an encyclopedia of all most useful pens, of all mods listed by categories or names.
Administartors and moderators will be best modders of each board.
It will be a real paradise of modding.
I know that my project seems too hard or too stupid or whatever but I think with the help of many boards it can be possible to create it.

We already have the Penmods section and the wiki.
If you guys create more Websites, it will get only more confusing... and it wont be easier to find infos about a certain mod.
But anyway... Firefly and MBH! best german modders. -

Not all the pro modders from all boards are active in the mod section here on UPSB though. It could be a creation board, then the pens can be released on other boards just like usual. Seems like a good enough idea to me, depends on how well you can do it though. Best of luck ^^ -

I think the modding section here would suffice. Even when WMC does come up, everyone would have to speak a common language, and that's the function of UPSB. The only real pro I see of this project would be a consolidated database of all known mods with VERY detailed specs, but I don't know if that is even your goal. Keeping all finalized mods in a forum format would mean their topics gets pushed down.
Some might argue that the Wiki could act as a one stop center for all mods, but nobody ever has the time or motivation to keep up with it. If someone is willing to go through all this trouble to create a whole new site, I just think that energy could be spent in modifying something that already exists, instead of making something new.

it's a good idea, but I think the success of such projects largely depends on if ppl are motivated enough to contribute.

It would be great to have some pro modders working together though.
