I went to safeway to get sum profiles and I got two packs, right? well, when I got home, I noticed something weird about them. The backs didnt screw off and the grips were much shorter and harder. Are these newer or older models or are they fake? answers appreciated!

The exact same thing happened with me. I got some Pros but the grips were the same length but really hard. The clicker wouldnt come off as well it was like, constipated or something. Then i got my trusty old pliers and wrenched it off...Seems that it WAS threaded but the damn constipated clicker would spin.

No, they aren't anyballs because it does actually say profile on the pen and the grip on this pen is signifigantly shorter and harder. the clicker's tip is also flat rather than rounded, too. And sorry but the only way i could take a picture is by using my sisters camera but she wont let me and i can't find any pics on the internet
p.s.the threads are in the middle of the pen right below the grip and above where it says profile. -

Around me they have Profiles w/ grips similar to Signo, but they still have the wavy shape. I never bought any thankfully ^^

I had this problem too. They have dotted grips instead of the lined ones. I gave made a few comments on a few different threads about the grips and unscrewing them and everything. Then I bought a new pack and realized they were different. It was funny.

That's what the weird profile looks like. Almost identical except that it doesn't curve upwards at the end, the grip is different, and it doesn't unscrew -

I saw those at Wal-Mart, I was like "WTF! These aren't the profiles I am looking for.. Oh there they are"
Edit : I think you bought the different kind of profiles than the one we use for mods. My profiles can screw off easily, the grips is also easy to come off. -

yup. thats the one. but r they older models or something cuz when you go to papermates site, it says the grips are supposed to be comfortable and the pen is considered "new" -
