Well, I tried translating some articles in Penspinning Wiki in Penspinning Reference Room to give you information on how we Japanese penspinners describe penspinning.
Note: This description is unfinished and can be uncurrent, which can be edited or updated if needed.- 命å法 Written naming convention
- Tricks are described in [接é 語 Prefixes] [技å Trick name] [接尾語 Suffixes] form.
The trick name 'ノーマル Normal' is basically omitted, as long as any of the prefixes or suffixes is written.
Eg. ダブル Double = ダブルノーマル Double Normal. フェイクトリãƒãƒ¼ã‚¹ Faked Reverse = フェイクトノーマルリãƒãƒ¼ã‚¹ Faked Normal Reverse.
However, sometimes Normal may not be omitted so that we will emphasize that the trick, combo, or hybrid is a Normal family trick, a Normal-based combo or hybrid. - When more than one prefix is written, the nearer ones to the trick name are translated earlier.
Eg. フルーエントシメトリカルソニック Fluent Symmetrical Sonic means Inverse Sonic Rise, on the other hand, シメトリカルフルーエントソニック Symmetrical Fluent Sonic means Inverse Sonic 34-23 >~ Inverse Sonic 23-12. - The prefixes are traslated earlier than the suffix 'リãƒãƒ¼ã‚¹ Reverse'.
Eg. ãƒãƒ¼ãƒ•ã‚¬ãƒ³ãƒžãƒ³ãƒªãƒãƒ¼ã‚¹ Half Gunman Reverse is not the 0.5 rotations of the ガンマンリãƒãƒ¼ã‚¹ Gunman Reverse, but the reverse direction of the ãƒãƒ¼ãƒ•ã‚¬ãƒ³ãƒžãƒ³ Half Gunman. - The finger notations are usually added so that we can avoid misunderstanding. The one before the trick name it modifies suggests fingers as the axes of gyration of the pen, while the other suggests the finger slot. The latter may be omitted, unless it's needed.
Eg. 3-ソニック 3-Sonic = Sonic 23-12, where the finger notations in Japan are different from the ones you use.

Awesome job Aphsamoth, thanks a lot! It was interesting to read, I didn't know most of the stuff. I'm also a little suprised that you knew all that, I mean it's both the UPSB and the JEB naming systems completely, and what corresponds to what! :) I guess I could expect something like this from you though :P It was even more fun to read for me, since I know Katakana and actually can read what the text in Japanese says ^^
