Pen Modifications / Silent pen
What's the best way of making one

So, what's the best way of making a pen into a ninja pen that makes very little sound when it drops? A plus would be adding very little weight to it.
If someone has made one, I'd like to see what they look like. So feel free to post pictures as well. -

There was an identical pen back on UCPSB, and what we concluded there was that the Ballsign Mod makes practically no noise when dropped. It will bounce around a bit though ^^

yea ballsign is super soft when u drop it. however if u want it to remain soft you can't put tips. or you could put them inside the ballsign cap.

Good to know. How about modding an already existing pen to be silent?
Are there things like silent grips, or is it possible to add some other soft stuff to the pen? I know this might sound a bit weird but I think it's an interesting concept -

Think of it this way, which would make more noise when it hits something, plastic or rubber?
I suggest thick-gripping your pen/mod if you want to avoid sound. It is going to weigh more though -

Yeah, Ballsign Mod is probably the quitest mod out there when it comes to dropping the pen.
If you add a thick enough grip on a comssa it would probably be quiet as well -

yea, basically an untipped pen with a reallly soft grip that goes right to the end. Dr. Grip grips are pretty soft, im sure those would make it land softly. But then again, it all really depends where you drop it! Like on the carpet, its not gonna make alot of noise if its a light mod, but on ur desk, any pen is gonna make some noise. Blame gravity

I have a BICtory with huge grips on the ends so when lands it only lands on the grips. Or just spin over a carpet

Use those bulky foam grip for pencils. They suck for infinities because they are not rubber but they will silence your pen and add weight.

i use long grips, like uncut g2 grips, on the end any pen (cept maybe KT) an when it hits the ground it bounces an maybe makes some noise, but its pretty silent... -

What about silent while spinning? Ive found that with retractable pens, if the spring isnt under enough pressure the clicker will go back and forth making a really annoying sound.

therefore you double the spring by lyk twisting a pushing vertically so theyu like merge

Ugh..
You just bend the spring a bit and it will stop making noise while you're spinning. I think that step is included in all the somewhat advanced retractable pen tutorials. -

aa good way to make a silent pen is to
hot glue everysingle thing together so ther is not way of moving
then you take some bubble wrap or someting and wrap it all around so when you drop it it makes no sound!!!
well umm to make a silent pen get rid of any loose unneeded parts if they are needed
tape them up so they are not loose and make no noise
