I use sand paper to file it not cut it.

I dont' have anything to cut any metal things.

But you'll got a real hot tip after you file it with your sandpaper

ic. but like after you finish filing it do you really have to use hot glue to make it stick? because it will be like damn hard to remove broken lead

OR u can look at the pics on this thread and figure out how to mod it urself

i like this better than sathon's variation cuz u dont need to cut the jedo tip

but no offense....Sathon's is kinda ghetto compared to the PDS version

I don't think PDS cut's it, but they hot glue the HGG tip kinda "high" to hide the jedo tip. Besides, cutting/sanding would hinder or destroy the functionality aspect of the pencil.

    *looking at own GJH*
the pencil tip looks really smooth, no evidence of cutting (crimping, jaggedness, etc.)

so gjh is held together by glue...kinda disappointing

so you can advance the lead by just pushin the cap or u have to take off the cap and then press the metal thing?

I also think the glue gives a little weight balance. Hot glue is also shatter resistant

and yes, you have to take the cap off to advance the lead on the PDS GJH. But I don't suggest writing with it. The loaded stick of lead fractures after every couple of drops and the extra wide tip means that the lead contacts paper at an awkward angle sometimes

ic... but does anybody know IF the hot glue will melt the g3? I don't have very many to spare...

No the hot glue is not gonna melt the barrel just don't touch the tip of the glue gun to the barrel and you'll be fine. The glue wont be hot enough to melt barrels if it can only give you a minor burn at most. Ive touched hot glue by accident and once I got a minor burn and the other times it was just really hot.

i have a brilliant method of attaching the jedo tip onto a G3 barrel without cutting and gluing hehehe
