How did he do it? I don't know. But I suppose you can post the questions here and tohlz will answer them, if he sees them.

I don't see why we can't just hold our own records type thing on a thread on here ?

I'm guessing, "best pen spinner" would be a little bit subjective, hence they used "fastest" instead.

i m very curious how they define fastest... what is required to be done?

When someone says someone is the fastest penspinner, people imply that he is the best penspinner

    I'm pretty sure he doesn't.

    This is getting childish.
I think it's great that he's in a book, even though I don't know him. I'm just wondering why more information wasn't released about his 'speed'.
If it's really the goodness that the word speed implies, and the word speed on the page is some kind of an error, why doesn't it have any data? Is it uncommon to have some data to which people can relate to?
I mean, if I were to announce the information that I beat the record to a hundred meters' sprint, I'm pretty sure someone would like to hear how fast I was!

I realize it's a bit hard to get concrete data available to the public about pen spinning, but nothing? huh.gif

Ok, I shall add what I know. tohlz mentioned that the main determining factor was the "first Singapore winner in the Universal Pen Spinning Board Official Battle held in 2004". I don't think he had to do any tricks to show the organizers, he had just to sent his photo in. Well, I'm pretty sure many of you aren't satisfied that he got the record so easily, but that's how the people there choose to do it. Singaporeans who want to break the record can suggest criteria to compete against to the organizers.

I don't think records are allowed to be broken and recorded until a year since that record has passed... but Dongza on steroids! now thats the shit

Thanks guys, and thanks for the clarification, yx. Yes, the record is based on first SG winner in PS battle, as found on the '06 ST newspaper article and the category is decided by the management and president of Singapore Book of Records.

I believe the main reason was due to the way the categories have been structured. While the category may or may not fit the description, I do however, respect their decision for getting this up as there have already been many communication issues beforehand due to my national service. (FYI, the discussion has taken place way before SPSG 6, and long before the start of this thread: http://www.upsb.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=2806)

Ultimatsz, though i'm not sure of your agressiveness towards this thread, I would recommend for these sarcastic remark on personal pm instead. Thanks.

    i m sry.

well i only feel that the word fastest. is wrong.. thats all..

and yes i think they dont have a good category to fit you inside.

i m sorry for getting you angered if i did.

    i m been childish.

why cant you be the "first to win in ps battles"?

they have the "first to" records.. right?
