"pens around the world" topic says dr grips can be found in australia, does anyone know where specifically?
WA? SA? NSW? K-mart? art stores?

  2. dust_kid
    Date: Fri, Feb 29 2008 21:49:23

I saw them at OfficeWorks, not sure about other places though.

I can't find any BIC round stics in Australia NSW. I remember seeing shelf dominating ammounts of them a few years ago but now i can only find BIC crystals and papermate kilometricos.
Help please? Does anyone know specific stores which have them? kmart officeworks and coles seem to have switched to kilometricos/crystals.

    OfficeWorks

    Pilot G2
    Pilot Supergel
    Pilot Dr Grip
    Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip
    Papermate Profile
    Papermate Flexgrip
    Bic Round Stic
    Uni Lakubo

Should be more, but that's all I can think of.

Round Stics can be found in officeworks and I saw them in woolworths the other day too. Dr grips I have also seen in Officeworks.

I checked the site for officeworks. They don't have any bic round stics on their online list of products.

  12. dust_kid
    Date: Sat, Mar 1 2008 09:09:35

They might not have it on their site, but its definitely available. I saw it myself.

    Also at Officeworks:

    Zebra Sarasa
Zebra Hyper Jell (I think I saw it)

Go to some art shop .... like Linscraft, can't guarantee it'll be there but there's a chance. Mostly just check the local News Agencies first, there's one near me which sells G2's, Uni Signos, Lakubos etc.

Kilometric Pens can replace the bic round stics I guess. They're similar in a way.

  17. simzorz`
    Date: Sun, Mar 2 2008 00:06:35

Thing with kilometricos is that the ink tube and front tip thingo is smaller than that of a bic so it can't fit in the barrel. And they also don't have a plug at the back so you can't use them to make a bictory

  18. dust_kid
    Date: Sun, Mar 2 2008 00:15:40

Just do a double cap mod for the Kilometrico. The spin great!

i went there yesterday and omg biggrin.gif they have a whole aisle dedicated to pens O.O not like kmart/target which have a small-ish shelf =="

    Officeworks is great.

    They have:
    Lakubo
    Profile
    Dr Grip
    Bic
    Jimnie Gel
    Signo
    HGG

  28. keis
    Date: Thu, Mar 27 2008 13:41:03

    Officeworks really depends.

Their online serive contains all the pens they stock.
That doesn't necessarily mean your local store will have it in stock, but I suppose they could order it in.

When I went to my local Officeworks recently, the only ~decent~ pens they had on offer were HGGs, Signos and Lakubos...
No Dr. Grips at my local one sad.gif

Edit: Well, I suppose ~recently~ was when the back to school rush was on, and the pens section was kinda empty. I'll check again this weekend maybe. Might get lucky

oh well mustve heard wrong, ill have to make do with office works :L

i have found kilometricas make good middle section because they dont spin that bad. tongue.gif

@bananaketchup im hoping with more pens they will release a model like rsvp or something like a replacement for it.
since its bigger it should have a bigger variety of pens right?

but there's sunbursts at officeworks (atleast in the west, and probably in the east as well)
so you can always use that

you can get pens in perth from officeworks and newsagencies
they have the usual pens, sunbursts (yay!), hggs, g2, signo, bics, etc.

actually, there's a good shop in the city
i'll try and direct you... except its going to be abit like chinese whispers, since you have to tell ur aunt.. is it aunt?
i'll assume that she knows her way around the city

ok, so you have the city.
you need to go to carillion city arcade from perth train station side (on second floor)
before you go into the arcade, there is a side alley-type thing, where you go past a cafe
there also should be in that arcade part, a shop where they sell shirts, number plates, stickers etc, a warhammer shop (games workshop) and near the stair case (well, atleast i think there's a staircase) there is a shop with hello kitty and pink stuff and the most awesome hello kitty dolls... did i mention hello kitty?
anyway, near the counter, there is a book shelf of pens, you can get namae pens (well, korean copy), monami plus pen 3000 and geller rolls

hopefully ur aunt knows what i'm talking about, i'll try and find maps etc. for you/others in perth

its the one that says city arcade, you'll find it there

hopefully the map helps abit more
here's the URL if you want to send it to ur aunt via email

    City Arcade Map

EDIT: i went there again today
    its called morning glory
there's alot of pens from that brand, so if anyone wants to try and mod them
there were decents ones, with signo-like tips

    and also:
    monami plus pen 3000
    sakura gelly rolls
namae pen replacement (called the name pen)
and there were more monami pens

probably not the best place for that post, but you can make
    rsvp mx (sunburst+hgg)
    hgg^2 (hgg and g2)
you *could* technically make a firefly g3, with subbed parts, but i can't be bothered explaining subs
    same with ayatori

i'm sure you can make others, but i really can't think now....
oh, various mx variations using g2 (eg/ mmx, nt mmx)

    yup
use sunbursts for as rsvp subs, if you really want to write with them, you can use papermate kilometrico inktubes
and yes, the inktube is a bit longer, but you can easily cut it
the only downside to only having sunbursts are that there are no red/black ones (well, in my officeworks they dont) so i can't make a red/black mx

erm guys i am going on vacation to australia in early december, particularly gold coast area. it would be helpful if you guys can list out what i can find pretty easily there since i have 1 or 2 days for free time, i will go penhunting. my main idea is to pick up some flexgrips and sunbursts, but please tell me if there is any other stuff worth getting. thanks in advance, really appreciate it . (it would be better if i know the pricetag because my mom is not gonna pay for me to rip pens apart for spinning so i am on a massive saving spree now. )

I read the pens around the world thread and saw that they supposedly had dong-a's in china town. I went trekking across chinatown but can't seem to find any in the jap/korean shops confusedsmilie.gif

Does anyone know where they could be specifically?
