    So hello everyone,this is the tutorial of a modd I created a few months ago,I didn't translate what is written on the pics,but I think it is quite understandable happy.gif


    So let's start!


    you need:

    -1 pilot g2 (body,clicking part and inktube)
    -1 rsvp (grip and cap)
    -1 dong a cap
    -sgm grips
    -2 hgg tips
    -a woodstick

    plus these accessories:

    (and a lighter,forgot to put it on the pic>_<)

    /!\ WARNING: this modd is hard to do,so please be REALLY carefull or you might get cut,burnt.../!\

    take the lighter, the needle and the cork. What you have to do is to cut the little lines that keep the "center" of the cap.


    you should now have this:



    alternative way (thx to k4s!): a power drill can wear off easily wear off the central part...how to repalce it? just use an hgg backcap( everyone has a few spare hgg body^^)

    Now,screw an hgg tip on the little white part and put another tip on the first hgg tip (with blu-tack,or glue)
    stuff this little white part with blu-tack,and plant the woodstick in it
    Now take the big clicking part of the g2,and cut a little bit the top stuff it with patafix,and connect the little com.ssa cap part and the clicking part together(you'll need to cut the woodstick rolleyes.gif )



    grip the dong.a cap,and put the clicking system back in it.

    now take the g2 body.remove the clip,and put 2 stripes of sgm grip,like on the pic:


    you can now put the dong.a cap on the back of the g2,put the inktube in the g2 body,and test the retract system,adjust if necessary

    now let's go to the opposite part of the g2
    put the rsvp grip(where the g2 grip normally is),and the cap



    you finished to modd your thund3r mx \o/

    Woah. Nice mod!

    Looks very hard to make.

    Does the grip by the cap make it hard to spin? It also doesnt look like theres alot of spinning room...

    -an sgm/profile/dominic story/anyball grip is the grip used to modd com.ssa caps
    pic here


    -this mod is 3mm longer than an rsvp mx,and it roughly has the same spinning surface

    -to write,remove the cap and click by pushing the hgg tip inside the donga cap

    I think I'm gonna try to make a v2 where the ink clicks out through a hole in the rsvp cap, that way its really a retractable

    I tried it,but the problem is that it puts too much weight on one side of the pen :/ and it's difficult to add weight on the other side

    I just made one, I'm about to try to put inserts in it, there are definitely a lot of steps that could be added to the tutorial though, I had to improvise a lot.

    It seems the most difficult part of this mod is cutting out the center piece of the comssa cap. If you dont mind me suggesting, you can use an HGG back plug instead...hgg tips will screw onto the hgg back plug and its significantly easier than removing the center piece of a comssa cap smile.gif

    Maybe more people will make this mod now if they can skip the hardest step happy.gif


    @Teddy: Spinning room refers the amount of room on the barrel to spin with before you touch the grips/caps on the ends of the pen mod.

    I don't get what that would accomplish? You still have to clear out the comssa cap don't you?
    Oh, you mean it is hard to get it out intact?

    Well, i can clear out a comssa cap very easily using drill bits...unfortunately i end up destroying the middle section (which is needed in this mod). So instead of meticulously cutting out the middle section, you can just drill it out (way easier) and use an hgg back plug as a substitute. Anyone who's made an MX before should have a spare hgg body lying around with the back plug just waiting to be used :>

    lol, i didnt do anything maticulous when clearing out the comssa cap for two reasons. One, idc what the inside of the cap looks like, just as long as i can sand it down smooth, and two, idc what the piece that you remove looks like because you never see it and all you do is just screw on the hgg tip...

    no raE was right. There isn't alot of spinning room, but i still like the mod it's nice imo.

    if anyone else has modded one,please post a pic!
    (if you include the back grip,the spinning surface is ~ the same as with a mx

    k4s,what size of drill do you use ? 8mm?

    the insert at the bottom of the cap should'nt move. the other small insert is taped (right word?) to the barell,it doesn't move at all,and with the right size,the central insert should'nt move smile.gif

    (and yeah,this modd is perfect for school xD)

    I taped them down but they still fell around, I'm fine with it like this. ^^
