HGG Type A
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Weight: 11g
Length: 18.5cm
Pens needed:
G2
Hgg
Grips from profile are any other grips you like.
Preparation:
Cut front of Hgg off so that it is 11.7 cm.
Pull black part(Clicker part) off G2.
Cut G2 piece to 6.4 cm. Length is from where clicker was down 6.4cm.
Cut clip off Hgg cap.
Screw Hgg tip on to the back cap(little piece of plastic that plugs up the back of Hgg).
Wrap tape around back cap.
Assembly:
Put G2 on HGG.
Push the Hgg tip with back cap into the G2.
You might have to adjust the amount of tape to make it fit tightly.
Put the Hgg cap on the back.
Add insert and grips and you are finished

Additional steps to make it write provided by Guitrum:
1. Take the hgg backcap and slice off just the very tip of it so that it is a hollow tube.
2. Turn it around and stick a bic inktube into the hgg backcap. Because it is turned around, the lines inside it should keep it in place.
3. Stick the inktube into the back of the hgg barrel and it should click into place.
The best part is, the hgg cap covers it and depending on the type of grip you put on there, the cap could easily come off for writing.

I'd definitely try this if i had my hggs with me, but is the seam between the g2 and the hgg barrel kind weird? on an mmx it's almost kind of uncomfortable for me, but i don't know if the fit is weird for this or not..i've never compared the rsvp's barrel to the hgg's. And also balance please

It can not write.

about .5 cm off center(my MX is about 1 cm offer center for reference). Where the Hgg meets the G2 feels fine to me but if you are sensitive to these type things you could sand a little to smooth it some more.

Great mod! I had a similar idea, but did not think of using the back plug.
How much does it weigh after putting on the grips? Does it weigh as much as say... a MX? -

and I used the front part to make an NX MMT
it worked quite well actually
cause the tip stays on very well and what's more is that the un-segmented side of a G2 grip fits perfectly onto the part where the colour band used to be =]

nice mod.
ima attempt to make this write and look a lil more clean.
pens seem to be useless to me if they dont write, then really its a tiny baton.
tryin to find a good balanced mod that uses gel ink tube.
i really want a psing pen that writes white.
My white HGG's write beautifuly its a shame, i cant get them into a mod. -

I roll it up very tight around an ink tube. Then before you put the G2 section on I push it into the Hgg Body and make sure that it is sticking out enough to go in the G2. Then I slide the G2 part on.

I liked the mod very much...so doing it for the 2nd time i realised that comssa cap fits almost perfectly at g2's clicker part (it makes noise...but u can use tape to fix that).
So i made this variation that instead of using hgg backplug + hgg tip i put a metalic comssa cap.
So it turned to have 21,5 cm (max lenght...but u can make is smaller), cog=cop and to be a very nice pen.

Also if you use what you have and replace the hgg cap with a comssa cap you will have a clear comssa(not sure what the proper name is but was created my somebody before). -

If you can't find anything long enough to push it out,
try grabbing it with your fingernails and see if you can pull it out some.
I can usually pull it up just enough to grab it with my scissors. -
