how are researcher's chosen?

You apply to Zombo, asking to be a researcher and stating why. He will then decide if you get to be a researcher or not.
I would guess if someone is quite new they are quite unlikely to be allowed to join, unless they had some really good ideas already and were read-up on current termology etc. If you have been around for longer I would suggest you are more likely to be accepted. -

Why does the public have no input when the RD releases an article involving notation? If something is planned to be widely used, shouldn't it be screened by some non-RD members?

isn't that the whole point of the RD? We don't exactly make random decisions whenever we feel like it, there's a system. It takes a whole lot to release an article, and once we do, it's worthless if everyone simply goes, "Oh, I liked the old way better"

Yes, Moonwalk Sonic deprecation. I think it just causes some confusion, and it is not something that everyone is aware of.
I am suggesting that you make a public vote before you even start the actual article. Just write a short description of your idea and set up the poll to see some opinions, that simple. I'm not saying to make a poll that will decide if you release it or not, I just want the public to have some input. That's all. -

You should do it since you could also get like "feedback" on what you guys have done. You might get ideas to add more stuff cuz the public might give in their opininons.

Fresh was Mats
