ThaiSpinner featured on a german website in their video article section.
Spiegel is one of the biggest magazines in german, having several TV shows and a big website with news and articles.

    Translation:

    Spoiler:

Speaker: "Students in Thailand seem to be pretty bored because in class the writing stuff does not fly over the paper but through the fingers.

Chatchai Sompong: "When i had nothing to do in school and started dreaming i began spinning my pen."

Speaker: "By now there is an internet community with around 10.000 Members for the so called Pen-Spinning. The students with the fast fingers meet eachother every 2 month to show them new tricks"

Ukrit Tanasanti: "The NeoBak Combo is hard and the pen drops easily but if you do it that way it's easier, other way it falls easy. I need to practice more but also in school i have to work harder."

Speaker: "There are over 100 variations of Pen-Spinning. For some tricks the simple writing pen isn't enough, you need to use a tuned one. The students modify the pens with weigth and grips. If that doesn't affect the concentration in school ...

I think it's a pretty cool coverage, it's only a minute so it doesn't go that much in detail but i like it.

It was found by the sister of McDudelsaeck!

We got it three timea in germany... one in the internet, spiegel.de and two on TV...everyone was a bit diffrent (except the film material).
I don't like the spiegel.de version, it sounds like penspinning is something for nerds, for freaky, stupid children who don't know what to do. dry.gif

"Small Thais are "specialized" in penspinning. This "extreme" hand sport is very popular in Thailand. Hundreds of boys are training few hours a day increasing their technique ^^ "

    and this is cool
"Parents of spinners are happy that their children spin. What a pity that polish parents can't devide Thais parents joy"

    sorry for bad english happy.gif

the way they report this is as though they don't really believe penspinning has a proper future.

i just hope penspinning goes into the entertainment industry in the future and proves all these arrogant idiots wrong.

seriously. they portray this art as a way of channeling excess energy into something useless and done due to boredom.
