Use this thread to open new projects.

If you want to request to open a topic, you can just create it right away if the project it belongs to already exist (Be sure to notify it in the appropriate project thread). Otherwise, request that the project be open first here.

Here's the format of a request

    "Project name"
Project leader: "name". It should be you by default, but if you don't want to, we can arrange for someone else to take care of it.
Project description: Write a summary of what the project does.
    Why? reason.
Example topic: write a topic you may work on inside this project.

    "Pen modification Database"
    Project leader: iMatt
Project description: A search-able Database where users can find near all the pen modifications by category such as
    -----------------------
    Retractable/non retractable
    Separate categories for pencil mods
    Materials used
    Cost in multiple currencies
    Weight
    Length
and etc. The list continues vastly.

Why: To allow a pen spinning to find a pen that suites there needs without having to play the guessing game at obscure odd named modifications

Example topic: The main part I would be working on would be compiling pen mods and reformating tutorials for a search-able format.

(I already wrote which format the tutorials will be in on the Tutorial Guidelines Thread in The pen modifications thread.)

    Pen Modifications Efficiency Rating Formula

    Project leader: To Be Determined

Project Description: To create a formula for rating the efficiency of a mod. Currently, there are two ideas of efficiency: usage of parts and ease of modification. We need to determine universal criterion to develop a formula for all mods. Also, there can be groupings of several mods to yield a group efficiency rating.

Why? To give a more solid understanding of what it takes to make a particular mod before actually starting. Also, this promotes critical thinking into creating mods to create a more efficient mod.

Example Topics: Usage of Parts Efficiency, Ease of Modification Efficiency, Definition of Criterion

    Pen Modding Techniques Collaboration

    Project leader: To be Determined

Project Description: Just a collaboration of videos and written guides on techniques used often in modding such as sanding, drilling holes in back caps, cutting, etc. Each technique tutorial should have all various methods that can be used to acquire the desired outcome. For example: a hole can be made in a back cap by using an x-acto/pocket knife, heating a nail, or using a power drill. Advice and insight should also be given.

Why? Just to give further help to modders who are having trouble with any of these.
