Round 1 Discussion Thread
MANAGERS: SEMI-FINALS videos are due April 19th.
Lineups consist of: 2 single matches, 1 double matches. 4 spinners total.
For single videos: 25 seconds max.
For double videos: Each spinner in the pair must spin at least 10 seconds. The total video length is (10*2) 20 seconds minimum and 55 seconds maximum.

World Tournament and World Cup alternate every year. Since World Cup is this year, next year is World Tournament. -

yes but you cannot affect the spinning itself. can't edit in the middle of a combo to correct a mistake, etc...
only before, between or after.
and the total video lengtht must be under the limit -

As far as the doubles are concerned, I like GPC's video a lot. I think most teams understood how it works, except PPP, since their video doesn't seem to contain a transition... it's not required but that's what makes a double video special; otherwise it's just like 2 single videos pasted together.... -

I loved your video Sfsr, u look like a hybrid bonkura/fratylem some times ~_~; i hope (an think) your gunna win.
idk where Minwoo came from, but i think that unless the judges got somthing against minor breaks in his combo, hes got that battle.
ahhhh----Leon and Mcdudelsaeck killed imo. only think to make it better woulda been better music quardination(an better overall spinnin by Leon ~_~) -

Nah, Minwoo's combo pwned. Very nice linkage. And I'd say Stuhl got Sfsr, but it's a hard one to decide on.

I think Minwoo's combo was too hacky. If you can't really link tricks then it's kind of hard to include them in a combo. You can't just take everything that's hard and throw it it. Le0n's combo was cool I guess, but it was more magic than penspinning. I'm not very happy with my combo, but apparently some other people liked it... Stuhl was really nice, but I liked his combo in round 2 more.

But I think that PPP's performance in international arena was very good We have had the hardest opponent in 1/2

I expected these results with the exception of LeOn & McDudelsaeck.
I really thought they would have won.
LeOn's magic trick really created a large gap in the "creativity" aspect of the competition.
I also really enjoyed Saizen & kUzu's video. -

editing is allowed for doubles...the only thing you cannot do is modify the spinning itself (put effects on the hand/pen, cutting the combo, speeding up, etc) music is fine.
anything extra does not count anyway.

btw it's not because you lose all matches that the battle wasn't close.
I think maybe if you lost all matches by 1 judge vote each, it's still a close match.
to me if you win 1 match by 1 vote, but in the two other matches you didnt even get a vote, then it's not close at all
but I guess we can't know that if we don't have the vote counts -

I am actually pretty shocked about GPC loosing all 3 matches. I'd have expected hat say in round 1... if you ask me the judges changed their opinion about spinning a lot. In the first two rounds they focused on creativity and hard tricks, now smooth and fast "standard-spinning" won.
though, nice job GPC and PPP, and thanks for the great WC all! Would not have expected GPC to come so far. -

unfortunately i have to say, that you are right sfsr...
but i think it's just a typical reaction. (especially for germans)
the first thing you do is complaining. and yeeh.. i really tried to avoid complaining, but in the end i also wrote something against you... i'm sorry for this. it always takes some time to realize that it is a bad manner to do that.
