I made this because i thought my lakubo mod was too light. because i love the lakubo pen, i decided to make it heavier to better suit my needs. here is the Lakubo S3.

    Weight: little less than kt
    Length: 19.6 cm
    COG: 5mm in behind COP

    PENS NEEDED:
    Uni-ball Lakubo
    Pilot Sugergel or Neogel (cap)
    Signo tips x3
    4-5 sections of Profile grip
    Also need: tape

    TUTORIAL:

    1. Make a Lakubo Mod. note, do not add tape to backcap.

    2. Screw a signo tip onto the front of the lakubo, add tape.

    3. Add 4-5 sections of Profile grip onto the to cover the gap between the lakubo grip and the tip.

    4. Place a signo tip onto the backcap of the lakubo, add a little bit of tape to hold it in place.

    5. Stack another signo on top of the first signo. add enough tape to hold them both in place, and that the cap has a secure fit.

    6. Add inserts and spin dat joint!

Lakubo S3 compared with mx and kt:

Ahaha. Just take a mod and throw a bunch of Signos onto it. Srsly you guys... I think it would be better creating mods with slightly more variations. Now you just took something existing and modified it. Start out with just a Lakubo and try going somewhere from there instead.

Seeing from the picture, the front Signo is actually all the way to the front, while the two back signos are somewhere halfway to the back from the COP. Messed up weight distrubution, no?

Wow this is so similar to my own mod. Except that I have one tip on the front, and one tip in the cap. This balances it well. I also put grips in the cap and on the caps for infinity. If you want me to post a picture then say so.

Very nice indeed... looks like semi-hidden double tip mods are getting more popular because it has the momentum of a straight forward double tipped mod but yet still retains it's "penish" look. I like it.

I'm not really a fan of the long section of grip near the front, but overall looks like a nice simple mod smile.gif

    Uh... read up.

its a little different now but close enough, I only have 5 sections of profile grip on the cap. And its not my main mod anymore.

What are the dimensions for the lakubo insert?

I just received 2 lakubos in the mail today. thinking of making an ayatori. If i get enough signo tips, i'll make yours.
