most people modify their pens and there is no best pen. everyone has their own preferences.

if you really want to buy a pen then go here
    mx
I sugest you just buy an mx to start and if you really think you want to penspin more then try using diffrent mods
don't go and sink $25 on a KT if you only know 3 tricks

oh it may be cheaper to just buy an rsvp and a hgg seperat and mod it yourself

the spinner doesn't chose the pen...the pen choses the spinner.... you spin with whatever you fell good to spin

just play around and see what u like, seriously, there's no best pen but only favourite pen.

Generally, since the RSVP isn't available in the UK, i suppose just using a HGG on it's own is good enough if you dont mind getting yourself a bit inky, though that can be solved with a tiny amount of blue-tac on the tip
seriously, just put the Hybrid Gel Grip cap on the back of the pen and it's pretty well balanced =D

erm, i suppose that the Superb GMX is a good pen if you dont mind a lot of effort when making it and using 3 pens which are like, £3 in total.
The only other mod that i've ever made out of purely english pens is my Sigmate 2020 which uses a Papermate Stick 2020 and 2 signo caps with tips (expensive sorta but very nice =D)

Since most of the spinners on UPSB are american, japanese, korean, singaporean (?), and Canadian, it'd probably be best if you used www.penspin.co.uk for a while to get fully acquainted to pen spinning.

I know that you want to use pens but you should try modding your pencil while you are waiting to find the right pen.

Take two unsharpened pencils and take the eraser part off one and stick it on the other. This will make it more balanced it should be good to spin with.

Do you have large hands if you do the MSXA might be a better option than MX it is a bit more expensive but Comssa caps can be bought on penwish. Another one of my fav mods is Comssa mod.

For those people living in UK who want a very good mod to spin with at a rather good price:

Get "Zebra Grip medium" pens (they are available in most stores: tescos, sainsburys, asdas etc)

    They look like this: http://www.ryman.co.uk/ZEBRA-Soft-rubber-G...-0825474701.asp

tutorial for ZGMX v1 (zebra grip mod eXtension): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GpSgshoL_4

There was originally one version, but i worked on other variations making it 5 versions ( ZGMX CYL V5 using airfit grips) check out my profile or pm me for further details... happy.gif

Why does you mod have CYL it should just be ZGMX v1. Do you even know what the CYL in buster CYL stands for. Or are you just copying the name?

Basically, in the UK, Staples is your No.1 store for pens. They usually have all (and there aren't many) of the useful pens. Some large supermarkets have them too. In my experience, book shops (like WHSmith) are rubbish and have a really limited range. They more usually stock biros/Parker pens too.

Not many PSers are from the UK sadly :/.
    But I am smile.gif.
I've only recently started pen spinning, and I plan to make a trip around the local stationary stores tomorrow to find a few nice pens and create my own modification. I like light pens..but the Berol Fineliner I'm using at the moment isn't long enough to do much more than TA's or Finger Passes.
