So, as discussed before, and people seemed to welcome the idea, would it be useful or just practical to use new letters, which would be "P" and "B" , to notate respectively "Palm" and "Backhand" when defining where on the hand the pen is placed ?

I guess it would be useful to breakdown tricks such as counter neosonics, palmspins and all those inverse shadows variations maybe as well...

    Examples of use :

Backaround P-12-T1 ( Backaround starting with pen released on the palm, spinning through 12 slot, and aught in T1 )
Inverse (Fingerless Middlearound) P2-P2 ( palm up, middle finger folded upward, pen spinning around the middlefinger , starting from and caught between 2 and Palm )
Backspin 2.0 12-B ( Start like a Backaround Normal, keep spinning one more turn on backhand, then stop spinning, still on backhand . Is "backspin" still in use, btw ? )

    Edit : thanks Master Z.

Ok, it has been a week now since the poll was started. I guess it is some BIG "yes but do not make it compulsory". Somebody up to make a wiki, or do I try to write something english-like enough ? ^^

Here's a rough draft for you all to look over....

    Expanded Hand Notation
Continuing the Naming Comittee's work to further refine the vocabulary of pen spinning, we decided to officially recommend the use of "P" and "B" in breakdown notation to identify the palm and back of the hand, respectively. Use of these two terms can both help to more precisely describe the path of the pen and possibly inspire new ways of performing known tricks/combos.

    Examples
Backaround P-12-T1: Backaround starting with pen resting on the palm, spinning through 12 slot, and caught in T1.
Fingerless Middlearound P2-P2: pen starts between the the palm and middle finger, pen spins around the finger to be catch in the same position.
Backaround 0.5 12-B ~ Backspin 1.5 B: The push and spin of a Backaround onto the back of the hand, the pen spins to a stop on the back of the hand.
Backaround 12-B-T1: adding "B" to Backaround more clearly states the path of the pen around the hand.
Bakriser 12-B ~> Backhand Bounce B-P > Palm Bounce P-12: the pen moves between both sides of the hand.

    applaud.gif thumbs up.

I just don't understand the last example explanation..."the pen between both sides of the hand." did you forget some words ? Or am I stupid ? Open question.

Ooh, it's already been 10 days. I guess I'll throw up the wiki article and let everyone know about it.

Edit: wiki article is up along with the comments & questions thread.

does B apply to the base of the back of the hand, of the back of the fingers like a shadow, or both?

The back of the hand, below the fingers, the side of the hand opposite the palm.
