Just right now i tried doing some freestyle and film it...but i didnt get what i wanted

usually i do some pretty good stuff while i'm sitting in fornt of my computer

but when i try and film what i'm doing it's like i suck and need to go back and do more practice

    even with simple freestyle

anyone else have a hard time filming?
anybody know how to help it?

*btw it rl;y wasnt clear whether i shouldve put this in presentation or general ps...it still seems to fit more in general ps..*

well, you might be getting a bit nervous cuz your trying to do so well. my suggestion is to keep camera on and just doing freestyle. if you mess up or drop your pen, take a deep breath and go again (dont turn camera off inbetween!) and keep doing over and over again till you get it right. later just edit out the part you did well on. TADA! Happy filming

If you have a bad angle you might by moving your arm so it fits in the screen, and you will probably spin worse in that position. Also make sure you're not looking at the screen (LOL i did that).

Aside from Spins and Conts, I spin a lot better in front of the camera.

    i get this too =\
i feel like i'm always concentrating on whether or not my hand is in the screen or not -__-'' and then i just sorta look on my computer screen to double check and i just sorta lose focus as i keep on doing this...

Yeah I have this problem too. When I try to film it takes me forever to get something half-decent.

I have the same thing an -JC-, I'm always trying to make sure my had is on screen, because I hate it when people make videos of combos and their hand goes off the the side and I can't see whats going on tongue.gif

I filmed a combo last night that I can do on a regular basis pretty well. It took me probablt around 25 tries to get it perfect. laugh.gif

I used to be like 4x worse in front of a camera; now I'm only 2x worse. It seems like it's slowly getting better the more I record in from of the camera.

i also have a problem because my left hand is holding the camera phone.. my webcam sucks and i dont have a tripod or sumthing...i spin fast, but when i record my spinning, it becomes slow...probably because i cant focus on ps. im more focused on the recording because i probably might be thinking that my spinning isnt captured. i need a f'n tripod or a good webcam....

yeah it does get better in time, as you film more you get more comfortable in front of the camera

I freeze in front of the camera too. My hands get sweaty, and I'm like 'Don't mess up'. But I always do, so I just edit it out. And I don't have a webcam, just a digital camera that I put on a box with a lid so I can angle it. So welfare, lol.

I suppose its the pressure of having to perform a good combo infront of a camera that gets to you, thus affecting your performance. It affects me too sad.gif
