I just went to a 99 cent store and found Hybrid gel rollers. These are HGG's without the grip, but the exact same tip. ANd they came in a pack of 5 for 99 cents. I later went to a 98 cent store. And they had sailer gels 1.0. It had the eact same grip as a kt and for only 98 cents. So just letting everyone know about this so you can all go and buy out these cheap pens.

Sadly, you're a few years too late on discovering them.
There is also a better version of the Hybrid Gel Rollers that have a slightly larger tip than an HGG and a different kind of grip. The tip and grip can be used to make a RSV MX alternative. -

erm... in case you didn't know... there are THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of 1 Dollar/99 cent/98 cent/97 cent/ stores in the US.
a specific name would be welcome.
one other thing: are they the real deal, or counterfeits? -
Date: Tue, Sep 11 2007 16:10:43
Even if there are thousands of them... I've seen ALOT of them that have the store name as "The 99 cent store" or whatever that crap is lol.
And... I believe it's pretty probable that some of them are fake... because gel pens themselves are a bit of money >=] -

They are real the HGGs and RSVPs I've bought are from Pentel. They must have some sort of agreement or they are defective in some way. But I havent noticed anything wrong with them.
I found them at The "99c Only" store, its a huge chain. The one with purple text. -

I used to buy big packs of HGRs at Staples but they stopped selling them. I cannot get HGGs so unfortunately I can no longer make MXs. For anyone else who has used HGRs, do you find that it bulges too much where it goes over the bump on the RSVP at the tip and if so, what do you do to keep it snug when you sand it down. I've used rolled paper to increase the thickness of the pen but it just gets to the point where it slips off. Anyway, just putting it out there.

Hmm.. Are these similar to the "Metallic gel rollers" and "Milky gel rollers"?
http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/8493/1000245yj6.jpg (why does it focus on everything except for the pen -.- it says "metallic gel roller")
http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/5268/1000244ya7.jpg ("milky gel roller")
http://img208.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1000243rf3.jpg (a whole bunch of them)
Edit: sorry if i wasn't clear i was just wondering if the pens in the pictures were similar to hybrid gel rollers but UED answered my question. -

The other day I went to the local art store and I found "Hybrid Gel Rollers for Fabric." They were really expensive though, 2 bucks a pop.

Not sure what your question is.
But yes, those are a type of Hybrid Gel Rollers. Same tips as HGGs.
EDIT: and to focus on the pen that close you need to use the Macro settings. The button with the flower.
