I realise there is this function present in the board. But I was just wondering, if other people add you as their friend, would you automatically add him as your friend as well?

If you go in "My Controls" > "Edit Personal Portal Info", you can change the way ppl add you.

You can see what people have added you through My Friends (the link at the top of the page) -> Mutual Friends -> Show who has added me though ^^

Well, I don't exactly understand the purpose of "Friends Pending Approval" if there is the "Friends (no mutual)".
If there is a need for approval, wouldn't the approval means the friend addition is mutual already?

In "Edit Personal Portal Information" you can change the settings to "only add when I approve them", wich would put everyone who adds you as a friend in the "Friends Pending Approval" section untill you accept/decline them adding you as a friend. Even though you accept that someone adds you, that doesn't also add them to your friends list (as far as I've understood).

friends pending approval means you have to approve for them to add you as a friend.

There's 3 situations: you reject them adding you in THEIR list, you accept adding in their list but you don't add them in YOUR list, or you both add (mutual)

Reject them too adding you in their list!? Since when should you control what others want to do?

Well, you might not be their friend, so you don't want to be in their list.

they're asking you if they can they add you to their list... it's like if I have a website, other websites should ask me permission if they link to my site... same thing. (even tho I might not link back to their site)
