Pen Modifications / Any-X with out G2's

So i read the Wiki on the Any-x mod, which is a great looking mod IMO.
the first one i made, i made using 2 G2's
i made 4 more in different colors to trade *Black Barrel red tip/ Red Barrel Black Tip/ Blue blue and purple purple.
After the first one i really liked the mod, pretty balanced, Medium weight and good length but it seemed to be a big waste to use G2's for it.
So the next 4 i made it really cut down on materials.
*note i have a Dremmel Tool and a Hot glue Gun*
Original Wiki Guide materials is as follows:
* 2x Dong-A Anyball (Profile / Star Gels Max) -- body
* Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip -- tip
* 2x Pilot G2 -- back clicker
* Pentel RSVP -- inktube
My Any-X Materials:
* 2x Dong-A Anyball (profile/Star Gel Max) -- body
* Pentel HGG or Unibal Signo or Pentech stickGels (basicaly a HGG with out the Gel grip but same tip and ink tube) - Tip/inktube
* Pentel RSVP -- Inktube
* 1 Bic Pen (Plastic Pen tip)
as you can obviously see, 2 less Pilot G2 make this pen alot more affordable to make and u wont have g2's laying around with out clickers
Okay the first G2 clicker replacement:

as you can see in the guide, it uses a g2 clicker to go in the middle of the 2 body pieces.
now i HAVE tried just hot gluing the pieces together with out a inside piece, but it makes the pen very weak and can fall apart when dropped.
Instead of the G2 clicker take the Tip of your Bic Pen apart and cut the pointer off leaving only the body.
One side should fit Perfectly into the anyball/profile body, the other side is a lil bigger.
either sand or shave the other side down just enough so it can slide into the other anyball/profile body.
once this is done you can pretty much push the 2 bodys 2gether and it will stay there pretty well, but b4 i push them 2gether i put a dab of hot glue in or super glue and then push them 2gether and it secures into place.
In case you drop it it wont fall apart like if you didnt have a middle insert.
Second G2 clicker replacement:
in the guide it says to use a g2 clicker to attach the HGG Tip onto the anyball/profile back piece
Instead of using a G2 clicker, you can simply use a Anyball/profile clicker.
Cut the end with the ridges off and then cut the other tip a bit just so there is a hole there.
Cut enough so that the Metal tip can fit on top with out any space between the end of the cap and the end of the metal tip. (basically no Clicker part showing)
First dab a lil hot glue or super glue on the inside of the Clicker barrel, then slide the Anyball/profile clicker into it with just enough sticking out to fit the Metal Tip on.
once that dries add a lil bit of hot glue/super glue on the outside of the clicker that is sticking out and secure the Metal tip on.
careful to not clog the holes with glue.
Now in the guide it says to place a Anyball/profiel clicker into the OTHER side of the clicker. But we already used our Spare clicker for the Tip.
So instead use the INKtube from a HGG *in this ase i used the stickgels inktube* and cut about 1.8 - 2 cms off the end of the inktube.
it should fit snugly on the end of a RSVP inktube, to make it go on easier just widen the one side with a pencil or something.
So that should replace the OTHER Anyball/profile clicker u used for the tip.
if it doesnt click well then you can use a longer piece of hgg inktube or shorten the current one on it.
So thats the cheaper way of making a Any-X mod with out wasting G2's
only extra pen is a average Bic pen, which is A LOT cheaper then a G2 -

Final products minus the Blue blue which was already traded away.
The Blue/black is the pen using the G2's which i didnt get to clean up like the rest

if you use a profile clicker to link the bodies, then that means you need 3 Profile clickers total
also i find that the profile clicker doesnt fit in the middle as well and it isnt as secure. you have to add tape or extra glue to make it fit snugly.
and with the bic part in the middle you dont really need super glue or hot glue to secure it, it just stays snugly there. but the glue helps it feel more solid.
One to link the body
One for the orignal clicker end
One for the tip
so that leaves you with one Profile with a missing clicker.
im tryin to reduce cost of materials in general
a Bic pen is alot cheaper then a Profile.
since a Pack of Anyball/Profiles cost about 4.50 a pack of 5
While a pack of 10 bic's is 87 Cents -

got mine at office max =P.
any ways the point is just to not use G2's for it.
next is to find some way to make them look not so dull.

i cant to seem to find a place that has HGG's
and the online places i looked at sell for 2 dollars per pen, instead of selling in bulk or packs -

Your not going to find HGGs in the U.S.
They're not distributed here anymore.
and 2 bucks a piece is about right.

pilot easytouch is good for the ink tube if u cant find a RSVP for the ink tube and quite cheap in malaysia .... its MYR 1.70 per pen ....

if you get a gelly roll inktube, you can put a little tape around it, wrap an instert around it, and use it to link the bodies. thats how i put an insert in anyway

the US cant just go out to a store
and buy HGGs considering they're not
distributed in the US anymore.

ty =), they are a bit on the fragile side tho, I still use my Comssa or Rsg2.
A lil side note on the HGG.
I got TOTALLY lucky the other day.
i found 3 packs of Sparkle HGG at a CVS for 4 bucks a pop with 4 pens each inside.
Pretty nice find i was surprised.

You can make an Any-X out of 4 Profiles.
4 Profile clickers, and two bodies
2 Profiles do the same job, 1 clicker connects, the other clicker goes at the front bit where the HGG tip goes on. -

Hmm... I think the retractable Easytouch clicker also works as a substitute. It's basically a G2 clicker, but about 2 times longer.
