So i was in a pen modding mood today so i made RG2T for some one who wanted to buy one.
Then Made a M-301X for trade.
And i found a 12 pack of Bic Bu^2 Grip retractable pens for 4 bucks so decided to mutilate them =P
After a hour and 1/2 of work, i manage to make what i call Bic Bu^4.
Materials
2 Bic Bu^2 Grip Pens *super cheap* 33 Cents each =P
Signo Tip
and.. a random metal tip i found in my Pen Grave yard... ill have to look for a Metal tip that can be accessible by any one.
I also Used profile Grips
RSVP Purple Ink tube
Tooth picks or Gel ink Tube for the back part can be used * i used a Gel ink tube cuz i have tons laying around.
also i used a Profile Clicker.
This pen is very similar to making a any-x
1. I cut the body under where the grip was.
2. Took a rsvp ink tube and pinched it at 3.5 CM
3. I removed the clicking mechanism from one side of the pen.
4. added about 3cm extension on the rsvp inktube with a gel ink tube
5. Cut a profile clicker on both sides so that a pen can slide thru and hot glued the 2 parts 2gether
6. put the Spring of a profile in the top *its stronger* and hot glued the random metal tip i found in.
7. on the back i Drilled a hole thru the tip of the retractable clicker and useing the other part of the profile Clicker ( the peice that goes under the actual clicker) i cut it down and shoved it into the Tip and then hot glued a Signo tip on it.
8. after all is cooled down i slid some Profile grips on.
Rating:
Okay well the COG is a lil bit in front of the split of the pen. this can be fixed with extra grips on the back of the pen.
*note i DID NOT clean this pen up. its just a proto type pen for me to try out. Its pretty dirty and if i was making one seriously id find better ways to put it 2gether. for now i just hot glued stuff and crammed things 2gether.
Im not sure how much it weighs, but its about the weight of a RG2T, it has a lot of momentum because of the tips and grips at the end.
The retract is fully functional just press the end and if you want it to retract you just press the black button on the side. like you would with a Monami mod.
It spins pretty well. I can do All the fundamentals with it and infinity
It is pretty long tho
22Cm, very long mod for me at least.
I think im the first to make this....
if not then correct me. i didnt see a post on it or a wiki for it.
Tell me what ya think.
CONS: b/c the Bic Bu^2 pens are so cheap, they are made of cheapo material.
i think if you sat on this by accident or dropped it tooo hard it might break due to the cheap plastic
over all i give it a 6.5/10 I would give it a 7/10 if i cleaned it up a bit and evened out the weight better.
Then hotglued the body 2gether. -

How about the barrel feel? It's kinda slim right?

Yeah the barrel looks maybe a fraction smaller than my M-301X or really really close to the same.
I'm pretty sure this mod is a new one, Housetek. Looks good except but i'm not a fan of using hotglue :P -

Its does look nice i gotta admit.
but i think that maybe if you used like two
dr. grip pen tips on both sides and made it
work it would be really good looking.
just my opinion -

haha it looks like an any-x that has no mechanism but a tip on each end

The barrel is bigger then the M301X.
id say its the same as a Any-X maybe a TINY bit smaller then a Any-X.
I DO have like 4 Dr.Grip tips and 2 Grips laying around maybe i can fiddle around with that.
This is how it matches up with a Any-X -

looks pretty nice, you just gotta clean up your mods a bit more, and maybe a digi cam so it could be more sharp, but still gj
