My first mod

    Hi everyone. I am going to show you a tutorial about how to make a SGR (Spinforlife's Gelly Roll) mod. This mod was made by me with the way below.







    Pens i used:

    1) Sakura Gelly Roll

    2) HGG (Tip)

    3) Pilot G3 (cap and grip)

    4) Pilot G2 (grip)

    Other stuff:

    A knife to cut the clip from G3 cap, a soldering-iron, a sandpaper and oil

    1) Take the Gelly Roll and remove the cap

    2) Cut any extension from the cap with the knife and the sandpaper

    3) Take the G2 grip and cut 1,4 cm from above

    4) Place a little bit oil inside it and place it in the Gelly Roll cap

    5) Take the soldering-iron and the HGG tip and touch with the soldering-iron the HGG tip while the HGG tip is touching the Gelly Roll cap from above. Then force it slowly and carefully so it will melt the Gelly Roll cap and be placed perfectly in it.

    6) Take the G3 cap, cut the clip with the knife and use the sandpaper to make it smooth.

    7) Take some pieces of grip (i used the G3 grip) and place the inside the G3 cap so it will have more weight.

    8) The G3 cap doesn't fit well in the back of the Gelly Roll. So take the soldering-iron and melt a little bit the back of the Gelly Roll so it will be wider and the G3 cap will fit perfectly.

    9) Assemby as in the photo and here you go! A brand new SGR!

    Not bad. the front cap looks a little bit sloppy though, where the tip sticks through. happy.gif

    get some higher quality pics and use descriptions with the pictures...this would be much nicer

    I wish i had a better camera but with my current equipment i can't do a lot about that.

    You can focus before taking the picture.

    Maybe that mod looks like RSVP MX but that mod is using pens i found in my area (i live in Europe). That means it can help people who cannot get RSVPs.

    Exactly. I captured these pictures with exactly the same way but some of them are different.

    Nice mod, but I don't like the feel of a ballsign body, its too thin for my liking. Also, I don't think its a good idea to make mods that write in gel ink. The ink can come out and pwn stuff. sad.gif Is the pen perfectly balanced at the COP?
