1) What music do you think would be the best for this collab? post the song's title, artist and length of song.
2)When will you be most available during the summer? start, middle,end?
3)Would you like to be the editor? if yes, put some credentials you have on editing; this collab may have multiple editors, there is no rules yet. -

it would be good, except with the amount of us spinners, it would either have to be first come, first serve, or almost everyone can do it but it has to be a short combo sort of thing. -

im actually rather in-experienced in editing myself, and if this idea takes off, a more suitable editor for the job would be much appreciated.

personally i do not want everyone to rush into the idea, and then have it turn into another "UPSB Official Collab - ON STANDBY " (no offense Zombo);
(1) At the very least, we need to wait until the summer to start the collab, as most US spinners (i assume) will be on summer vacation, and have plenty of time on their hands.
(2) We need to make a new method of assuring commitment of spinners rather than just posting in the first thread: "who has signed up and turned in their videos"
(3) (optional) i think it would be nice if we organized the collaboration, spinning wise (e.g. possibly assign certain types of combos to certain people? like a baks combo for Vicgotgame, and a less bak oriented combo for Mhig, to prevent repetition); this would also involve the process of "filtering" which should be left up to an experienced spinner, with the approval of the editor (if the editor and "experienced spinner" could be the same person, that would be great too ).
(4) only one editor, to keep it better organized, but multiple people for making graphics/title maybe?
(5) fast paced (either guitar or techno based?) song that either sounds amazing or has some sort of American Theme to it
(6) plz input------- -

i agree with all except for #3 or else the collab is literally... controlled? i dunno how to put it but that's how it would seem.. if there is filtering then it would be all up to the editor to see the repetition, to allow some or to take out completely different looking combos only.

Um it kinda has to be a big deal, I mean its our country's collab... if it looks like shit then well... you get the idea. Personally after this topic was started I've been practicing specifically for this collab...
It would be so awesome if we go people like Leviathin, David Weis, of course Scott and Vic too. I mean the US is the home of the Backaround for crying out loud (thanks to David atleast). I mean when you think about it there are tons of people that could represent so I think we should just put a little more thought into it, and not just run straight in.

I totally agree with that. I was planning on working incredibly hard on this collab if I had the chance to edit it, but i will not be able to for at least a month, and I would prefer to wait for folks optimal pen spinning performances, which should be somewhere near the end of Summer? If anyone other than me, who has a lot of experience in editing would like to work on this, rather than me, i would gladly hand it off to them (Xshadowfire would be fantastic ~_~). Until either of those happen, perhaps we can ease the impatience with some voting?

And then we should set a Deadline for all the videos. How about end of July? Or let's make beginning/mid of August?
So when we have everything set we can invite people like Leviathan, Kam, David Weis, etc.

Yea I was just naming off random people in my head, but anyway, for music though... I have no idea on the music though cause when ever I think American music I think Rock, or Blues, or Country... hrm that would be a tough decision... But I think our first order of buisness is seeing if we can get our Elites to participate, or atleast some of them. And then editor hrm I don't think I really care but if we can get someone like TEK or Kam to do the graphics that would be freaking awesome. This project will have to be big and have to be something that can make the Amreican community kinda seperate from UPSB but still be apart... if you get what I mean? Cause when I think of UPSB I'm not always thinking of our American spinners.
EDIT: I just had the idea for the greatest song ever for the collab. Dick Dale's Misurlou. I mean come on its a middle aged fat guy playing a fender stratocaster. What else says American, it makes me want to get fat of Nathans hotdogs and go surfing

Hey guys. I just wanted to say that I won't be joining any collabs for a VERY long time. I honestly think my skill level is too low so I'll be training hard for however long it takes. Just letting you guys know.

To tell you the truth, Linkin Park sounds garbage. We need something fast paced without vocals. Say, a techno remix of the national anthem?
Also, this collab will definitely need to be filtered, with only the best being in it (choosing a pro to filter these videos would be ideal). We need to show that we're a country of great spinners.
As for editing, I'm thinking oftorrentingLEGALLY BUYING a good editing program (Premiere sucks now).
EDIT: Would it not be right if we had a non-American edit the video? -

And why don't you let the editor filter the videos? HE edits the video and ha should be able to decide which clip he wants to use. I think he can tell a unsmooth and easy combo and a WC Combo apart lol
