Hi, I've tried uploading vids to youtube.com, and on several occasions, when I uploaded the file, and went to play it from youtube, it got cut from 15 seconds to 1 second. I have experienced this error previously with another vid, and it is really annoying me. I uploaded a .m4v file to youtube, using a MacBook, then I experienced this problem. However, when I use windows movie maker to upload the same file in .wmv format, weirdly enough, it works. Some help please?

If it works when you convert to wmv, isn't that a solution.

Why don't you just convert all your videos into wmv format then?

Just curious, which formats are the most common ones?

I'm certain that the .wmv format is the most common video format used to upload videos to youtube. Just like you said, they work. If you want the quality to be high then you have to extend the video to 11 minutes long, there are quite a few videos that are 11 minutes long that have HIGH quality. Like the claymore intro video (11:00) and the meet Dave trailer (10:59). Both have kept their quality. -

Ok, Ive just realised how much the quality of wmv/avi vids suck as compared to mov amd mpeg-4. And luckily, youtube is not allergic to my .mov vids. :>

Well, youtube has to convert everything so it might have problems with some formats. If you need to convert something yourself so you can upload it, try to get your hands on VisualHub (it's for OS X), which is a really awesome video-conversion program.

Nah, I just realised that I could export movies in iMovie to most popular formats using the "Export with Quicktime Player" function. But I tried dling Visual Hub, its good. :> -
