General Discussion / Should the pen spinning history section come back?

For those who don't know, this section keeps track of the history of PS. We have two UCPSBs to document, a new UPSB and whatever happens henceforth. If you still don't know what it's about, check the old PSing History section on http://www.pentrix.com/upsb2 towards the bottom.

I can't vote yet, but I do think it should be brought back to document the progress of PS.

it should be brought back because if like new members come up and want to know about the history of penspinning they can just look at the history section instead of asking and suffs lol

Perhaps to add on, if PSHC is to be started, here are the things that can be covered:

    UPSB and UCPSB
Right from Pentix Board to UPSB V2, till its closure/merge.
Right from UCPSB till its closure/merge.
All notable events, members, media publications, etc.

    Off UPSB
All notable events, members, media publications from various PS communities (e.g. PDS, FPSB, etc). Much like historians, we will need the foreign experts who can keep constant watch on these communities and note down the important events. wink.gif

Past events require members who have stayed with the communities long enough, while the later events can be recorded by active members who are willing to help out. And if a PS Wiki does exist and is running well, these info can be wikified and used as a reference.

    PS history is important.

    As an entire section, no.

Articles are good enough for me.

Bring back PS History, move Spammers Bin higher up, and make a general discussion for serious non-PS stuff.

A section of its own would be too much.. But still, if it doesn't get a section of its own, who would look into it? I don't know :/

I got into reading the history pages by tohlz and phya on the upsb3 vBulletin test board. They were really interesting and it would be great to have more. It gives newbs a great general knowledge on PSing and may stop a question like "Who is David Weiss?" (I bet there's someone on here who doesn't know)

Most new pen spinners wouldn't care about the history of PS, all they'd want to know is how to spin. People start to appreciate pen spinning after they've had some experience. In my opinion anyway.

This poll seems pretty one-sided. Can we set up a committee and bring it back?

THE PEN SPINNING HISTORY SECTION IS BACK!!!

Tohlz and I are going to be doing some serious work on this and getting people from all communities involved. It's going to be a big project, so don't expect results fast, but rest assured, we are working our asses off!

You can make feedbacks to the History Department here.
