Are there any mechanisms similar to the monami 153 pen? The lever used in the monami isn't used commonly in retractable pens and I can't find any pens that use a similar system.

Those kinds of pens work totally different from a monami 153. There are a few knockoff's that use the same mechanism as the monami 153 but they are even more difficult to find than the original.

Haha, i'm glad that i know how to use the search feature. tongue.gif

Ok, back to topic. So the monami 153 is monami D-153(what i saw the label on the pen) right? I went to a mall(in neighbour state) today, i bought these pencils in a bookstore. They look very very like MonAmi 153, but when i compare them with real monami 153, these subs are about 0.1~0.2mm longer, could be the cap a bit longer. I think that wouldn't affect much for making GJH. I saw them quite long time ago when i went there but i didn't bought them.

Here's a little more information i would like to share. I actually saw another pencil which also look very very like monami 153 but i didn't bought them and they are also in another store in the same mall, so i can't compare their length and everything. These pencils are non-clear body and clear body(with cartoon pic inside), the clear one is a little more expensive than non-clear. They are in the black and white(main colors) cartoon. I think they are korean cartoon. They are cheaper than the monami 153(they're expensive dry.gif ).

Another substitute which is in my picture shown above. These are cheaper than monami 153 and the subs i mentioned in last paragraph because they're produce by the bookstore(company), and they come in 3-pack(red, dark green, dark blue). I bought a pack for little contribution of info. tongue.gif
(Edit: If you need, i can post a clearer pic tomorrow, i just found my dad's digital camera cable. ^^)

MonAmi also has another pencil looks almost exactly the same as monami 153, only the tip shape is *slightly* different(still is a thin tip). It has clear body, not called 153, it's called Monami Sense(or Senses?).

Btw, although that bookstore has other many branches(got one in my city), i don't see these subs and also monami 153 sold at every branches that i went. So, it's rare?

Woah, those are pencils ._. ...and like you said they looks quite similar to jedo/P205/metrix used in GJH mod.

I think the OP was referring to the pen mechanism used in mods like my Monami-r rsvp MX though but neat find cyshing.
