Well Rodi's classroom clip thread gave me this idea. If it's not any good then, whatever. But it might take off.
Alright, post here anything your teacher/s say about penspinning whether good or bad.
I'll start....
Science teacher: "Tim, this isn't drumming practice"
Same Science teacher: "Put your pens down... and you Tim"
Mine aren't very good and I'm sure you guys have much better ones so...

I remeber someone post on UCPSB. He had brought a pack of Round Stics to class to spin, the teacher kept taking his pens and he kept taking out a new one. Eventually the teacher had kicked him out and called his parents I think, and they were completely offended because he got kicked out of class for spinning a pen :D

my teachers don't really care.
but once during a meet the parents session, my form teacher said, "Joash should be focusing more on his studies this year. it is the year he is taking his 'o' levels. he shouldn't be doing things like spinning his pen, and he even uploaded his video on the internet."
*turns to stare at me*
"Joash you should be studying more and not waste time doing this..... this.... this.... this type of thing"
i was thinking in my head "HA! you screwed up your talking! and do you expect me to study every chance i get?!"
and during lesson time for a different teacher.
my friend was spinning some pen. the teacher backstabbed him and snatched the pen from his hands.
"What the..."
*teacher starts dismantling pen*
*rip.. rip*
*comes to pulling grips off*
"ARGH! NYAH!"
*throws remains of pen in dustbin with grips still tightly attached to caps*

If you have teachers that hate spinning and won't hesitate to take away your pen, why do you still continue? Doesn't seem too smart to me, unless you're a masochist who likes your MX or Comssa to be taken away.

Hmm, My english teacher last year saw my whole class trying to pen spin.
It was funny, she was like,
OH gosh! What is with everyone and those pencils? I mean they just keep falling and falling, and it is getting so obnoxious! I have never seen anything like it in my life! I know you're the best..

And everybody else is just trying to imitate you, but they are all failing so horribly!
My science teacher in grade 8 ended up stopping a lesson for me to teach her some pen tricks, while everybody else was just laughing

Generally teachers don't do anything so long as you don't drop your pen a lot & actually spin a PEN... playing with a baton in class is obviously no different than taking out some kind of toy & wasting time with it.

I drop my pens a lot because I am usually learning new tricks during class, and I am new to PS. For instance, I walked into school being lucky to do 4 spins on a charge, I come home and I can do 10+. My teachers don't give a freak. I'm more worried about how the kid sitting next to me feels when I am trying to learn TA Rev, and the pen keeps falling onto their feet.
But in 6th period today I was practicing my charge. I had to move seats a few days back so now I am in the front. >_> But I dropped it while the teacher was walking around talking, and he's like "Are you trying to hit me?" lol. -

Hmm, my teachers don't really care though, since I just spin a dr.grip shaker. I get alot of stares though, and one of my friends wants me to teach her, but she doesn't seem that interested And I've taught a few people a thumbaround, then they get mad at me and say "wtf, how can you land it all the time !?!?!?!? -

On the first day of school usually everyone stares, first at my hair, -.-, then at my PSing. From there on, as school goes by they never stop staring, sometimes someone would try to get me to teach them something here and there, but they never have the patience to do it.
My teachers just stare when we do seat work and I'm just spinning. -

My teachers either don't notice or don't care.
Although I have met a few people (I'm in my first semester of college so I don't know anyone : D) who come up to me and say something along the lines of "Thanks, you're the only reason I managed to live through that lecture. All I did was watch you spin that thing". Priceless. : D. And I've had a few questions about my comssa. Oh, and a 25 year old firefighter in my english class told me that I should stop, because it was distracting D:.

My teachers generally don't notice. Usually because I don't try new things in class therefore I don't drop it, therefore they don't notice. Sometimes I'll accidentally fling it far away and then I have to wait until the teacher stops talking to go get it. It always scares me because my pen is my friend which I don't want to lose. My physics teacher is cool though and if he notices he'll make some crack about how everything that goes wrong is because of my pen spinning (jokingly) Dion: Its all Joseph's fault... Physics Teacher: If you can explain the physics behind that trick (Thumbaround) I will let you spin if not then put it away.
Now that I'm in college they could care less about what I do unless I actually make a big deal of it. When I mean by big deal is when I landed my first Twisted Sonic Bust to Back Rev and did a fist pump. The professor was form Calculus and she just said congrats and continued with the lesson. -

You should explain something to your physics teacher. I would do that if my physics teacher(when in secondary school) asked me eventhough i can't tell it clear.
When i'm in form 4 or 5, i guess most of my teachers don't notice me psing, basically because i try not to spin much in class because i will drop it a lot and i dont have any actual mod that time, just spinning with normal writing pen with clip cut and cap on the back.
In the same year, i was practising double charge 23-12-23(have been practising quite a while that time) in the lab and i'm getting quite good and fast at it and seldom drop. It was last lesson of the day. I was sitting at the front row and the teacher was stand quite near me. My teacher was looking at my double charge but didn't say anything so i didn't know, probably because i was looking at the book instead of pen and listen to her lesson partially, i dont wish to get negative comment from my teacher because it might make other people think pen spinning is bad. I only know later when my friend who sat beside me told me about it.
Now i'm in the end of 1st semester in college, i seldom spin in lecture hall because if i drop my pen, it might fall to the front row which is lower than my row and it is hard for me to get back my pen. When i spin pen i also usually hide it under the table, so i think my lecturers doesn't know it. During tutorials, i guess my tutors don't notice and care as long as it wont drop or distracting him/her. -

i have a friend who tried explaining charge to a non-penspinner. he started talking about centripetal force and something else which i haven't learnt yet, even until i didn't understand how charge worked.

I was spinning the other day and my pen flew from my hand. It landed right in front of my teacher. She said, "that's what happens when you flick your pen". Then I said, "spin". -

My Chemistry teacher seems to try to get me but she can't do anything if I'm also paying attention at the same time so I noticed that she often looks to see if my eyes are looking down or up listening.
Even when I was looking down she asked me what she just said I was able to explain everything -

My old math teacher hated it. This one kid that kept trying to copy me always got in trouble 'cause he'd do it right in front of her and drop it and whatnot.
This yeah I don't think any of my teachers care, my Anatomy/Physiology class loves it, and when I drop it after a big combo the teacher usually says something like "Aww, he droped it," or suff like that.
None of my other teachers really care though, but I think it may be because i'm a senior this year. -

most of my teachers don't really care except for my chinese school teacher (who is a FUCKING BITCH). Well, when my history teacher is doing a lecture or someone is presenting, he sees enough of me and a few of my friends' psing (well only 3, including me) to know when i'm trying something new. When i was trying devil's around-> mid bak rev during a presentation, he goes like "and stop all of your distractions...*looks at me* trying out new tricks" lol...my teachers are awesome...

In my brain studies class, we're on the muscle memory section. So, they have us learn to either juggle or cupstack, to learn muscle memory. I showed my teacher pen-spinning and told him it is a form of contact juggling, but he said that I had to learn to do just regular juggling. I then said, "doesn't it already cover muscle memory though?" He just walked away... and then made us learn to juggle...

i usually lend my pens to my friend and they spin it <<< well i teach them and they pratise and keep droping it
so once a teacher came to me and told me to collect the pens since it was really annoying the noise it makes when it falls down :/
and sometime else a teacher came to me and did fingerpass with his whiteboard marker and eventually dropped it

I wish my math teacher was right, I am not even that good yet and it takes a lot more then his class to learning pen spinning. I have 82% so he can't really complain to much.
I'll forgive my physics teacher because I was a noob and kept dropping during a presentation.

well one time I was being really stupid and careless....
and I was spinning my Onyx Mod and I kept dropping it on the table in science class and so we have these little boxes in them...the bigger sized SpaceMakers and they have markers and stuff in them
and so I kept dropping my onyx mod and the teacher was like "WILL YOU STOP OPENING THE BOX AND PLAYING WITH THE MARKERS?!??!?!"
XDDDD the sound of the mod dropping sounds like i was opening the box and closing it.
but other than that none of my teachers have ever said anything at all to me. -

she was the year book teacher and some of her students did interview with me about pen spinning and she saw it
then when i was in her class she saw me doing it and she was like "hey...you were the pen twirler guy"
so this one day i was spinning and she was teaching soo i stopped...but she said, its fine you dont need to stop because of me

one time in chem, i was spinning my kt, which i brought to school just for that one day. class was really boring, so i tried bakfall.
i was only at like 3 months. anyways, on the midbak, the pen flew out towards my left hand, and i tried to catch it with my right. but instead i stabbed both my hands with those frikkin tips and was like OOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIII- out loud. the teacher looks at me like

My P.E. (gym) teacher found out I spun pens. (kind of an odd class right?)
back in 9th grade,
during roll call (no one was in PE uniform), some kid said hey look what ////// can do. then i took out my pen and started PSing in front of the teacher. he was quite amazed. then a few weeks later his wife came to school (she was pregnant) and the P.E. teacher told me to show her my PS skills. She actually said, "How the **** do you do that?" uncensored. then a year later in 10th grade he saw me and told me to spin again to a few 9th grade students nearby him and himself. now whenever he sees me he will ask hows my pen spinning going. I just say its going well.
my world history teacher said that my PS was the most elaborate PS he had ever seen.
btw if you wonder why i don't post much anymore, i really don't know. i'm still just as good as i used to be. maybe it started when UPSBv3 came, idk. i just wish psconclave was back. i still ps during class when i have a pen/pencil good enough for ps. -

The most interesting experience I had was in drama class. There are no desks, just chairs set up in a "U" I was in the upper portion of this "U" near the teacher. The people who normally sit next to me weren't there that day so I had my feet up on the chairs next to me as I was spinning. Suddenly my pen went flying and skidded to a stop right in front of the teacher, Sal. Sal peers over his huge stomach and stares at the pen, then looks at me, and the pen, then back at me and says, "I think you dropped this." I tried to get up quickly, but instead sorta just rolled off the chairs and landed on my face.

And then I dropped it, and it landed on my shirt. Brush end.
And I got black paint alll down my shirt, and the teacher laughed at me. and then I stopped cause I didn't want to completely ruin my shirt.

Ahah well today, in my french class, we were having a discussion on art. When I told my teacher that penspinning could be considered an art, she disagreed with me and said that penspinning is not an art, it is just something physical that some people can do - it does not require any sort of talent and can not express your emotions in anyway. After saying that, she went on to talk about how sports could be considered forms of art.
This got me a little pissed, what my teacher said had some logic behind it and some good points, but I think calling it "just something you can do" is almost insulting considering how hard some people practice to get better at penspinning. -

Pen spinning at my school is taken really weird, partially because I am the only penspinner there(besides 3 that I've taught the thumbaround. One might actually learn more, though). When someone sees me doing something like a K4LC or any freestyle, they ask "What do you do all day when you get home?" So basically, they think I have no life, I guess. -

None of my teachers really commented on it except my bio teacher, he would ALWAYS joke that I had a "twitch" (some obsessive subconscious habit or something). He would joke that he'll come visit me in a mental institute still spinning my pen. And randomly he'd stop talking, look at me and smile while emulating the motion with his hand and laugh to himself. He was a pretty cool guy, definitely the best teacher I had throughout my education.

funny thing is, no one was psing at the time
i told him to spin a pencil, dr. kt, buster cyl, since none of those are actually biros, and the latter 2 being just sticks dressed up as pens
but then again, the latter 2 are expensive, and probably dont want them being taken away (for gassing)
on that same line, sunburst mx's could be spun..... both pens are gel pens

He sounded really angry, which scared me because I was also discreetly studying for a test next period and not paying attention. Then he asks if I'm like a martial artist or something. I just sit there because I'm like..what? Then he says he once had this asian student who was a martial artist and he'd bring Asian weapons to school and spin them. Science teacher: Why do all of you have big huge pens? It's like your trying to compensate for some other short-coming. And I don't see why your spinning with them. You just keep dropping them and make a fool out of yourself. Silly little humans.

Science teacher: Ok, seriously stop spinning you huge pens. I'm getting tired of hearing them hit your desks. Practice your twirling at home, or I'll take your pens away.

Do teachers have a "hate" thing on pen spinning? Every time I spin, the teacher would take my pen away and give me a lecture why I shouldn't spin in class. Does this happen to you guys?

Most teachers don't hate pen spinning as long as you do it very subtle and devote most of your attention to the lesson, and not your pen. If you're doing something simple like Charge or ThumbAround Harmonic, most teachers don't mind, but if you're practicing Hai Tua and keep on dropping the pen and making a lot of noise, it's a bother to the teacher as well as other students.

My teacdhers dont usually get mad, but once at lunch I was teaching my friend Josh to do a thumbaround to air, he accidentally threw it over a different lunch table, a teacher picked it up, got mad at him, put it in her pocket, walked away...
not that cool, and i think she thought it was his...Most of my other teachers dont really mind though, they sometimes get annoyed if I'm not paying attention because of it, if I'm talking to them and PSing at the same time, or if i sneak it into P.E.
But except for that one, I havnt had any others taken. -

About two weeks after i started psing, my lit teacher was distracting me from my reverse TA practice, and I kept dropping it like every 4 seconds. After about a minute of that she turns from the chalkboard angrily and shouts. "Anderfreeb, if that pen drops one more time I am going to kill- *stops self form issuing death threat to student*- snap it in half.
Same lit teacher, but I'm not dropping it. "Stop playing with that pen and pay attention." I go, "I am paying attention, and even if I weren't I still have a 97 average in both ur classes" (comp is the other). She gave me angry look then made a weird huffing sound then almost started telling me off some more, but went back to lecture.
History teacher just got done telling us off about the whole class failing his bs test. I make an offhand joke about the test, he goes redface and says, "I am trying to have a serious conversation with the class, and all you can do is make jokes and twirl that goddamn pen." I was one of the three people actually having the conversation in the first place, and I told him this. All that equals DETENTION.
Physics Teacher sees me spinning in elective Chess and Games. I was spinning while playing Trumpet (board game from the eighties or something) with my friends , and my pen flies onto the board and knocks over all the pieces. He walks over and says "looks like you need more practice." He takes my pen to his desk and looks up youtube videos and starts trying to do the thumbaround. It was really weird.
Just handed in a physics test and teacher done grading by the time I get back to my seat (100%). I look at him, he turns my test over to the test pile all quick and badass like and then tries to do a TA with his red bic. but screws up tries to catch it but ends up throwing it to the back of the room.
None of them really care on the whole as long as I don't drop it, and if they say anything I ask them "What's my average again?" It's so funny to watch them want to yell at me. -

(This was back when I first started spinning,) I was in my Spanish Class. I was trying to do the Sonic and I kept dropping it on the table making that large :THWAP: sound. My teacher told me politely to stop.
The next day I went back in (I mastered the Sonic that night), and I decided to try and do a Twisted Sonic Bust. As I was doing it, I accidentally made my Buster CYL fly across the room and hit my friend in the eye. That was the last time I spun in that class because my teacher yelled at me and threatened to take away/break my pen if I did it again.
In my Bio. class also, my teacher has a policy with Pen Spinning. Because of all the people who fail at just doing TA's, (cuz thats all they know about Pen Spinning) my Teacher came up with an idea. He said that anyone who can do 100 Thumbarounds in a row without dropping could pen spin in his class. No one could do it without dropping it.....except for me hahahah!
In History, my teacher needed a pen to write something down. I was spinning my Buster CYL as she came up to me. She was like, hey KC let me borrow your pen. I replied, "It can't write." She gave me a look like o_O. "What kind of a pen can't write?" I said, "One for Pen Spinning." Then she walked away and I was laughing pretty hard.
Thats about it for me.
