    "Riser" definition:

    QUOTE
    - Riser tricks to have some kind of topspin + upward hand motion.
Trick-part breakdown: Push > Top Spin > Fingerless Push > Air Spin > Catch.

    "Release" definition
    QUOTE
    - Release tricks to use a finger push directly into an air spin.
Trick-part breakdown: Push > Air Spin > Catch.

If you vote for No/More time, please explain why and give any more ideas you may have to help get these definitions sorted.

Originating post in [5.8] and the following discussion.

Further clarification on the Riser definition: the top-spin portion will need not be a significant part of the trick, the pen simply moves into the position before being thrust upward. Thumbaround Riser as opposed to Thumbspin Riser.

well i voted for more time (alone of course) because i think with these definitions, a whole group of tricks is being excluded. I know you said i could call my thumbaround release a leigun T123, but i only used thumbaround as an example. There are other tricks like that that really have nothing to do with leiguns and thus couldn't be labeled that way, and they can't be labeled release either becuase release is deemed as an aerial trick, not a transfer. Unless we could create a new name for those tricks? Or maybe there are names for them that I just dont know, i'm sorry for arguing if that's the case.

So far, transfers are still considered aerials. Take Leigun for examples: both an aerial & transfer option. Unless the transfer does not fly through the air (Sonic Transfer) it would be an aerial. Can you give any more examples what you are thinking about?

Wow, quite a long time for this now. Sorry, I've had a lot of more pressing personal things going on lately. If everyone else is okay, we should go ahead and publish what we have for this subject. If anyone (e.g. ShadowSerpant) can think of additions to this at a later time, those can then be discussed and possbily added to this article.
