when doing a push for a flick (the name given by eso to the korean fake reverse), should the pen rotate? i dont mean spin around the finger, but i mean spin around like a wheel, as if you were trying to get a good view of the whole insert
should my thumb (left handed) pull the pen towards me as i release it? that's how i generate all my power... and i'm just wondering if its correct. -

The rotation of the barrel should be unimportant.
The pressure applied by your thumb is more important to master than the middle finger push. -

It doesn't matter if the barrel rotates or not. If it does, then it does. The thumb should just stay stationary if you're doing the Korean Faked Rev. If you wanted the pen to go around the pen like a TA Rev, then you will want to move the thumb away from you so you can make the pen go around.
Hope this helps. -

okay. my thumb does stay stationary, but if the pen has terrible grip, then i find it kinda hard to get the flick push because i rely a lot on using the stickiness of the surface to get the launch. using a long rubber rod (a devil's stick stick, used for juggling), i can get a great push and get a ton of spins. so, just wondered if that meant anything or helped anyone at all

i think it spins on the thumb flap, or the same place it would spin on a normal fake reverse.
Anyways, heres the original thread made for those who don't know what this is; http://z15.invisionfree.com/UCPSB/index.php?showtopic=6953 -

actually mine spins on a different place.
my regular fake reverse spins on my thumb knuckle or 2nd segment.
my flick spins on the place between t and 1
