    Hi,
    Welcome to my third tutorial!! This time I am gonna do a mod called G1-MX. Its MADE by FLAME^ICE WARRIOR (I am not the creater this sadly) but I helped him to improve on it at class so that it looks nicer and its writable. He told me what he had planned for the mod and I helped him to fix the problems... it had a few problems...
    1) Ink will leak - Not fixed sad.gif
    2) Inktube cannot be reversed - Fixed
    3) Low durability - Fixed (Depends! If u do not put Anyball Grips to the Supergel/Neogel cap, it has lower durability as if u put Anyball grips, it cushions the impact when it drops, thus, giving the pen more durability)
    4) Useless in infinity tricks - Fixed
    I helped him with this tutorial too... So here we go!



    Specs:
    Length: 18cm
    Weight: 11.3g
    COG=COP
    Momentum: Good (Body's diameter around the size of a RSVP's if i am not wrong.)
    Writable: no..

    Materials needed:
    1x Pilot G1-Grip (Everything except the cap and grip) (Its G1-GRIP not the normal version of G1)
    1x Pentel HGG (Grip)
    1x Pilot Supergel/Neogel (Cap)
    1x Monami JP-503 (Grip)
    1x Any grip that can fit onto the back of the Supergel/Neogel cap. (OPTIONAL)
    Tape
    Scissors
    Sandpaper/Filer

    Instructions:



    1) Take out the G1 inktube. Sand/File the bulge at the front of the inktube so that the bulge (circled black) becomes smaller (1mm above the ink portion would do. DO NOT MAKE IT FLAT! Then, take of the whole tip part and wash away the ink. (Its not writable sadly cause its gel ink.)

    ( Ignore this pic... Treat it as there is no ink in the inktube)

    2) Take out the back plug of the G1. Poke a hole in it large enough for the inktube to be reversed.



    3) Cut the G1 grip slightly so that you can peel/tear it out. Replace it with a HGG grip. U can add inserts of ur choice now.



    4) Now take the Supergel/Neogel cap. Break its clip away and file/sand away the remaining plastic. Take the JP-503 grip and push it into the cap. Make sure that u push it enough so that the cap can cover the indent at the back of the G1 barrel. (This will take some time to complete push it into the cap...)



    5) (U are almost there! Feeling excited?) Now, take the whole inktube part and push it into the G1 barrel from the back. Make sure the back of the inktube does not get stuck and can completely slip through the whole barrel easily.

    6) Wrap tape around the back of the G1 barrel so that the cap fits tightly. Now u are OFFICIALLY done! happyy.gif Spin away! Optional: Put some Anyball grips to the back of the mod so that it increases the pen durability as well as making it useful at infinity tricks.

    Pros:
    Spins very nicely
    Good at infinities (depends)
    Good length and weight for pros and beginner
    Can have inserts
    Very cool looking
    Diameter of the barrel is perfect for pros and beginners

    Cons:
    Hard to get an insert into the barrel
    Need parts from 4/5 pens
    Not writable

    This is my third tutorial. I really really wanna thank FLAME^ICE WARRIOR for coming up with this mod!

    Hi, maybe you can cut down on the number of pens required by stuffing the G-1 Grip into the cap? Also, I think that the pen will eventually leak ink, as it is with all gel pens. Also, if the cap does not fit perfectly onto the back, repeatedly taking on and off the cap will screw up the tape, making it troublesome to take off and replace. Other then that, the mod looks nice. :>

    You might need to specify that it's a G1 Grip version not a normal G1.

    @ Gunblakes Nope... G1 grip doesnt work as the grip cannot be pulled off... It has to be cut off and the whole grip will be ruined... So yeah...

    Fine fine... But if the cap has the G1 grip inside, the pen will not look like how it should look like already... And the grip is short too + ugly... So shall we stop arguing on this matter?

    this is so cool i can make it in malaysia.
    last time i made a jp503 mod, i find it hard to push the jp503 grip into the supergel cap.
    any tips?

    hmmm try using oil or fold the grip...or i dunno ^^

    @ loonwern93 Hmm... Folding the grip works... I do it while pushing it in but for the oil, it will not work. Once the grip is completely pushed it, use the jp 503 body and continue pushing it. It will go in in no time. And also, take a ballpoint inktube to straighten the grip again after pushing it as it will be folded in the cap.

    Hmm...its nice looking! Only disadvantage i see is that it uses many pens. Ill try it.

    It uses alot of pens, but the pens r cheap... Total = $SGD6

    for the grip problem u can try and use a clipper to stuff it in the Supergel cap.

    Err... Hello... U allowed me to post the tutorial and ur G1-MX is not clean... Hw r u gonna live with a shitty tutorial... Oh yeah... U should thank me for my effort that i put into making the g1 mx and the swt pics.

    if you're worried the ink will spill cuz its gel just stick the g1 ink ball thing out of the cap. then you can just stick it in the grip thats wedged in the cap. use long tweezers to poke it out. Or you can fold up a grip and stick that in there. Just something to prevent the ink from spilling.
