Regular Pen Discussion / About HGG
can it be produced again?
-
Date: Tue, May 20 2008 12:30:24
Since HGG's ink formular sucks, thus they decided to stop producing them.
And now, we don't have HGG pasrts for modification.
Can Kam somehow talk to pentel and ask pentel to sell the patent of the HGG to Spinz
and make HGG come back?
what do u think? -
Date: Tue, May 20 2008 13:03:12
Well I absolutely like that! But no one will want to buy HGGs except for pen spinners only... Pentel may disagree... But still I think Kam should give it a try

Kam works with Pentech, not Pentel. I think Penwish is the only one that's got comunication with Pentel...

HGG's are being discontinued? I find them all the time in Australia...
-

Just because something is discontinued doesn't mean all its units are immediately yanked from store shelves. Pilot discontinued Dr. Grip long ago.

Does this mean the prices of HGG's will start to increase over time? Since they'll become more rare.

Yep, but it will happen slowly. Yea, the Dr.Grips were discontinued too, we are just starting to burn out the newest stock. We'll be able to live off the rest for aprox. 1-1 1/2 years I think . Well they will at least be readily available for that time. Slowly they will become like the F-3000. But we'll find new pens. -

Ya Dr.Grip were discontinued a while back...
I still find new Dr.Grip's at OfficeMax every week. -

Dr.Grips are just really expensive so your avg person wouldnt just spend more then like 5 bucks on a single pen... well there are exceptions but they arent really purchased often...

Yeah, that's what i thought...still in production in other places -
Date: Wed, May 21 2008 08:02:04
Thats what I thought because it seems like the majority of European pen spinners can get them readily.
and many other places in the world for that matter. I'm hella jealous -

In The GPC was a 2 years old diskussion about hggs, cause they weren'T on the pentel home page anymore, now they are again, and
they are still produced and selled in germany. -

I've talked to a lot of stores in Sweden, and here all colors but White are being discontinued and replaced by the HGRs with silver grip.
-
Date: Wed, May 21 2008 10:21:47
Yeah but i think it's the stores fault,
not pentel's
there was also one store that told me they stopped producing g2 and other pilot pens and they just sell bic and so stuff, but they were wrong they just didn't sell them anymore. other stores sell pilot pens and they are still producing them -

that may be true, but SPINZ is also for spinners only and for spinners wannabe...and if SPINZ has success, sonner or later noobs will get tired of SPINZ pen and will move to another pens...and go search for an easy mod to do and BAM!!! rsvp mx appears...hmm..what do i need?rsvp?i saw that in a shop! hgg...... ?wtf is this?let's google it....google:it's not sold in usa any more...noob: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
so i think that hgg should be sold again as easily as rsvp....and rsvps could be sold on europe to...that would be nice... -
Date: Wed, May 21 2008 21:35:47

Maybe they put it there is because they stopped the production but they still have some remaining not sold yet so they put it there to get rid of those?
