    EXVP v2 Sub-Mod

Mod and Tutorial Created By 1477
Much Credit to Outlander (for creating the original EXVP)

I’ve just made an EXVP, and like diamond 99007, I think it is AMAZING!!! I give my biggest congratulations and w00ts to Outlander for creating this mod! However, I have continued too play with the idea of this mod, and have finally succeeded in greatly customizing it. However, the customization is not great enough for it to be classified as a new, separate mod. And it is not small enough for it to be classified as a simple tweak or add-on. Therefore, I call this change a “sub”-mod. I have made a sub-mod for the Shaker Anyball Retractable Mechanical Pencil Mod v2 as well, and I have named it the Shaker Anyball Retractable Mechanical Pencil Mod v3. Therefore, I shall call my sub-mod for the EXVP the EXVP v2 (MP). This sub-mod is an MP version of the EXVP.

    Advantages:
    1. It’s a mechanical pencil mod. Much cooler, manlier, and more USEFUL than a pen mod!!
    2. It has MUCH more weight, has MUCH more momentum, is MUCH longer
    3. It is MUCH easier to spin
    4. If you are working on a PS video, this could be an excellent performance mod. It looks great, and GREATLY increases your chance of doing your combo 100% correct, 100% smoothly (without pausing), and in a constant speed (because of the great momentum)
    5. It is EXTREMELY good-looking compared to the other super-long-and-heavy mods.
    6. It actually looks like a pen, not a symmetrical double-headed heavy stick, yet it spins just as well as one!
    7. Besides being USEFUL as well as good-looking and EASY TO SPIN, one of the sole purposes in the design of this mod is to be hard to drop (since it is so easy to spin) unless you slam it down on purpose, that is; this greatly protects the mod from breaking!
    8. It is excellent for learning and practicing new tricks!!

    Disadvantages:
    1. You might have to take off one or both of the caps (the caps on the tip of the body and the back) in this mood in order to portably carry it inside your pencil pouch.
    2. It might not be a challenge for those who like to challenge themselves in new things. It definetely won’t appear hard to spin, it being so long and stuff.

    TUTORIAL:

The following is a complete detailed tutorial of this mod.

    Materials Needed:

1 EXVP BALANCED WITH TIPS, GRIPS, AND INSERT

    1 Toothpick

    1 Roll of Teflon Tape

1 Expo Cap (long, low-odor kind, like in the EXVP)

    1 RSVP Grip

1 Pentel 0.7mm Lead Tube/Mechanical Pencil Mechanism (Note: Any kind of Pentel 0.7mm MP will do as far as I know. I used a Pentel Forte Pro. However, make sure that lead tube looks like that of the provided following picture, as it is the only type of lead tube that would work).

    1 Sharpie Cap

    Directions:

    1. Take out the ink tube from the EXVP

    2. Wrap the toothpick with 3-4 layers of Teflon Tape. Leave 1 cm unwrapped on one end, and a little bit on the other end (about 3mm). This will be your clicker.

    3. Cut the lead tube until it measures 9.4 cm long.

    4. Slide the 3 mm unwrapped end of the toothpick into the lead tube, and continue to push it in until the toothpick goes in the lead tube 1.5 cm. The total length should be 14 cm.

    5. Slide the toothpick-lead tube assembly into the RSVP body all the way in WITH THE LEAD TUBE FACING THE BACK AND THE TOOTHPICK FACING THE TIP OF THE RSVP. Then screw on the back cap.

    6. Put on EXVP primed Expo cap (with appropriate grips and tips) and EXVP primed RSVP cap (with appropriate grips and tips) in their traditional EXVP places.

    7. Pull out Expo cap and the grips/tips/etc. attached to the Expo cap.

    8. Put grips/tips/etc. on the Sharpie cap.

    9. Wrap the Expo cap with a few layers Teflon tape (about 5-8).

    10. Push the Expo cap inside the Sharpie cap as tightly as possible.

    11. Cut 1.25 cm off the RSVP grip (halfway).

    12. Cut the other half of the grip open (sorry for the unclear picture).

    13. Roll up the slit-open RSVP grip and slide it into the half-RSVP grip.

    14. Push the RSVP grip inside the RSVP cap a total of 2 cm inside (that’s all the way).

    15. Push the RSVP half-grip + rolled-up-grip assembly all the way into the RSVP cap.

    16. Push the Expo cap inside the RSVP cap as tightly inside as possible

    17. Push the Sharpie-Expo cap on the tip side of the RSVP body (in the traditional place of the EXVP mod) and push the RSVP-Expo cap on the back side of the RSVP body (in the traditional place of the EXVP mod as well). Now you are completely done! Enjoy!

Side Note 1: Caution: The lead easily breaks in this mod, so don’t be reckless with the lead by letting out too much lead at a time (when writing)!

Side Note 2: When you click the clicker for lead, it might hurt your thumb. Therefore, cover your thumb with your sleeve before you click the clicker. That’s about it, so enjoy!

Length would be nice, it looks pretty long.

But nice mod, other than that! Lead stability might be an issue, what with there being no MP tip holding it.

Yes, it can write. It writes from the backcap.

It's not everyone. It's just me. I create mods that are long and heavy so that it is harder to drop and easier to spin. The lead might break if you drop an MP too much. I explained this specifically in the Advantages/Disadvantages section. If anyone else has further questions about why it is long and heavy, please look at the Advantages/Disadvantages section. It takes into light the fact that it is long and heavy.

Here is the specific length measurement for the EXVP v2 (some people have asked how long it is). I forgot to add it in my tutorial.

    Length:
27.5 cm (please look at the Advantages/Disadvantages section in my tutorial if you have questions on why it is so long. It explicitly takes this issue into light and explains it).
