My dad and mom were impressed when i just learnt sonic harmonic and doing sorts of newbie combo. Now...
My dad don't care much i guess because most of a day he is running business in shop. My mum? hmm... don't care much too if she doesn't know how much $$ i spent to buy pens. Sometimes she saw me bought few pens(G2, G3, bics and others) and then she ask what for or how much, i just say for write and learn to draw and don't tell the exact prices. Sometimes i guess she knows they are for pen spinning because she knows i use a bictory(she doesnt know the mod name) substitute for pen spinning but she says nothing.
Oh ya, i remember once ago when i did some mistakes while applying education loan, it was important and my dad sit beside me angrily and watch me filling the correction form, i was nervious and i didn't realised that im doing TA harmonic. My dad beat my hand to drop my pen and scolded me doing PS when doing important thing.

But when he seing me on a own movie of mine he often say:

And I think it's the same with my mom ^^
Well all in all, they don't care if I have penspinning as my hobby. -

My mom thinks making pens is cooler than spinning them and my dad generally doesn't notice. But every now and then he'll notice me juggling or doing a finger pass or something like that and he'll show interest. I think when he sees me doing something really cool it makes it easier for him to buy me pens.

My dad reads a lot of korean newspapers online and read an article about PDS. When he saw my spinning, he recalled the article and started calling me "Mr. Pendolsa" (imagine this in a really bad asian accent). Dolsa in korean means: talented, genius, master. It's pretty similar to gosu. And Oh hey, now you guys know a little more now. Anyhow, irony of this nickname is that I'm still kinda bad at spinning laf.

Collection will have the end of it !.. that is not fair ...before , my brother started to collecting the stamps ( and of course, stamps cost more money and time than penz) but what he got are 3 big stamp's collection books. I made "some" err, quite a lot holes in my desk while spinning my Dr. KT. But since I noticed I don't spin at my desk anymore. My parents don't know about the holes, there's too many papers and other shit covering them up.
My father, who lives in the house under me, calling me up on the phone when I'm penspinning and dropping the pen: "Are you playing with marbles?" When I get good grades he's like: "you could focus more on penspinning." When I'm watching a penspin video, he's like: "Why do you watch people doing their autistic hobby?"
My mother doesn't care at all. I told her about penspinning but she just doesn't care. -

When I learned the TA around 10 yrs ago, my mom said she was jealous because she had been wanting to do it when she was in college. I try to teach her sometimes, but she loses interest after a few attempts and tells me not to spin in front of her because it makes her envious haha. When I started getting into new tricks recently, she said the same thing. Sometimes if I spin too much they make fun of me like, I'm making a career out of spinning and I'll get my master's degree in spinning soon haha.
Anyway, they know I have a lot of interests. They praise me a bit when they see that I'm getting better at stuff but sometimes they tell me I get distracted too much at times. I am sort of the polymath at home.
I taught my cousin the TA around 2 yrs ago. He wanted to learn the reverse TA and harmonic. I told him, "memorize your lessons first, then I'll teach you." I'm around 9 years older than him so I'm like a parent to him. I started making mods when he went on vacation. I showed it to him when he got back, and he laughed and said I was wasting pens. But earlier today, he brought a mod to school to show to his classmates -

Lol. There aren't many 'above beginner level' spinners in the Philippines right now, I think. Much less before the YT days. Most spinners here are one-trick wonders who either know the thumbaround or charge/reverse charge, more emphasis on the TA. In my old high school and college, practically everyone in my classes has seen the TA, and around half of them can do it. I had some teachers who could do the TA too. In high school I had a teacher who would show off the TA harmonic to students sometimes. So I guess it's quite popular. -

Next, my parents flame me about how I waste pens just to mod. They talk as if ALL my mod are unwriteable when in fact they COULD write.

I've tried, honestly to write large but I can't. Even though I write small, everyone can still read it, except my parents and the flame me about it.

1. My left-handness. My parents are currently fucking up my brain. Both of them complain that left handed people can never do anything right and are rejected by society. Fuck that. All throughout my life, my natural dominant hand would be my left, but my parents were punishing me if I did ANYTHING with my left hand. So, I had to start usiing my right hand. Anything I did with my right hand turned out to be wrong because I wasn't used to my it, which helped my parent's side of the argument Trying to use my right hand even though my left hand is naturally dominant is screwing up my mind...
2. The fact that I write small. What the fuck does my handwriting have to do with them? They say that a man must write large in order to be successful. What kind of bullshit is that? I've tried, honestly to write large but I can't. Even though I write small, everyone can still read it, except my parents and the flame me about it.
Ok, end rant about parents.
My parents obviously swear A LOT when they're flaming me, but I tried to minimize it.

my time to rant: while i was in croatia for junior europeans, my parents raided my room and took all of my modded pens. when i returned, they took all the mods i had with me there too. so basically im starting again from scratch with my collection. i recently managed to make 3 armx's and an impact mx but i must to have them with me at all times just in case. it sucks losing everything. so word from the wise: hide ur pens if ur parents dont approve, they'll probably reach this stage sooner or later.

Back in high school when I was spinning everywhere I went, my parents just saw it as something very ordinary and would know that I can supply a pen or two whenever they needed one at a given time.
My mom only kinda comments on it now when I do see her between school term breaks because she rarely sees me do it anymore. -

OMG! MY MOM HATES THE FACT THAT I SPIN! My mom always says that I'm not allowed to "make pens" and my brother always throws my pens away so I have to keep them in my pocket......

Back to topic: it's only when my mom's in a bad mood (it's when shestarts pointing out bad stuff and sth) that she despises. Also, they don't seem to get angry as much now because they don't see me mod as much (if they only knew how many rsvps I stocked)
