Description: Looking into tricks and combos that do not involve the hand, or that involve the hand and another body part.
So far, the tricks of KneeSpin, Arm Roll, BakTap (with toes) and Elbow Pop/Elbow Transfer have been found. There must be a whole bunch of other tricks out there that do not involve the hand, or at least, involve the hand and another body part.
Why? It just adds another dimension to pen spinning if one sees the pen is not always just manipulated in the hand.

CIPE PMUB
(Vid has bad catches since it was more or less one of the first tries :| )
Especially after the Body/environment combos in the WC were kinda...disappointing? .. needs more body tricks. -

meh it was lying on his hand..no spins or anything. You can put the pen anywhere if it doesnt spin. too easy
I'll post another vid of a counter-ish trick tomorrow -

I would say that it is a form of stall and if you wanna' in cooperate this into PSing it's quite easy on the hand (even though I should post this on another thread.)
It'll be made easier with a larger surface area of the ends of the pens meaning no tips or caps (ballsign mod would be good) and a concave surface would make it better (curling in your palm). However that might be classified as an assisted trick. -

It can always go at the start of a combo.QUOTEPSing it's quite easy on the hand
It's still not all that easy on the hand, but you could probably get into it quite nicely. I got a couple more things I will try to film (too inconsistant atm) and put into the middle of combos where possible. Will make a little mini-vid of body moves. Not sure when though. Intensive circus training starts next week... -

I'm gonna' film some stuff I have to interface into this trick but I gotta' do it assisted 'cause I don't have time to practice it. By the way is it considered a stall? -

I would go for 'balance' rather than 'stall'. For me there is a huge difference. Balance - The pen is falling you are constantly having to counter this. Stall - The pen is at rest in one place. Job for the naming committee in the end though. -

Fingertip stalls and devils stall requires balance. -

Perhaps those tricks will have to be assessed and renamed? Anyway, we will bring this up in NC at the appropriate time.

You can always suggest an idea on here or PM me. I might be able to execute them. I can't balance a pencil on my palm, but since I can already do it on my chin and do things nearly as short on my palm, it shouldn't be more than a week of practice to learn to do it there. . .
You can suggest any body things and I'm likely to try them out (although perhaps unsuccessfully) if you're not wanting to practice them. -

Penja did some of the balancing thing.

He also came up with a release for the trick.
Sorry I haven't found the time to film and post on my part. I'll probably PM mats later. -

It's looking like I'm going to be pretty busy with the circus at least until July. I'm doing 4-5 acts in the show at the moment! Lots of practice to keep up with. In the summer, things will be a bit more chilled out. Will try to film some spinning in the big top then
