Alright, so... I'm going to try and come up with little challenges, or "missions."
The idea is to just further knowledge really.
I've decided that each mission will come with a hash, and the hash (if cracked) contains a small hint as to how to complete the small mission.
If you come up with any ideas, let me know. Until I get rolling, I won't know much to do, heh.
Hashes will only be letters of the alphabet (upper and lower), MD4 or MD5, and may be any length up to 12 characters (closer to 12 )
Mission #1
Post the extracted information (minus any textual information) that you find to complete.
The hash hint for this one is: 25fd1dc08d8b5cca119e5e568c6c2ec6
Mission #2
Change the words on the google start button image, take a screenshot, and PM me your method.
You must do so without saving the page and editing the HTML, OR using an image editor to make it look legit.
Also, do not let your images give away how you did it!
Example:
Hash hint: 6e8d25bd6a69bd327117a9564760ac66
Mission 3
Same as mission 2, except this time... do it to Yahoo's search button.
Example:
Hash hint: 0098c4596d40c9a9d378437d6af16500
Bring me some ideas... or work on these... Or both...
Good luck... Hope this works out well. -

I'll give you a quick head start so you don't have to google it; there's 2 ways that I know of to decrypt an MD5 hash. They are both very difficult IMO.
- Google a brute force program such as Cain and Abel that tries all possible combinations to decode the hash. This can take up to a couple thousand years for these hashes I believe. It's random though, it could take 5 seconds if it happened to work like that.
- Download/create a rainbow table that already has all possible combinations of the decoded hashes. This is a time/memory trade-off. The rainbow tables for these hashes shouldn't be too big, maybe a few gigs or something? Just make sure you get the right one. -

Alright, I've come to the conclusion that I'm wayyyy too lazy to maintain a completed by list.
I also realize that this idea was just one of those "in the moment" things.
Now... I could probably use a little help on where to go and what kind of things to add.
If anyone has any ideas, lemme know.
I'll make an attempt at coming up with some new things, or more difficult versions of what is here.
