    Hello,

here is my new mod. I've spinned for a long time symetrical pens, and I don't like non-symetrical pens. Today, I made something which gives me a lot of fun, cause I modded my RSVP MX (I hate spin that) to new Signo MX

Name of Pen Modification: Signo MX
Center of Gravity: on the COP
    Length in Centimeters: 20 cm
Weight in relative terms: about 15 g
    Style: Non-Retractable, Single Sided
    Estimated cost: about 7-8 $
    Pens Needed:
    -RSVP (about 1$)
    -HGG (about 2$)
    -Signo with tip and clicker
    -Signo with tip and cap

    1. Take out grip from RSVP, put it into RSVP cap. Then brake a clip, and smooth it. Then cut Signo grip on 2 parts: one with these "swellings", second without it. Put this second part on RSVP cap.

    2. Glue HGG tip on the beginning of the pen, like in the RSVP MX. Now you can add an insert: length 8.8 cm, width 3.81 cm. Remove the other cap of RSVP. After that, take Signo with clicker, take out tip and try to put Signo tip on it. You can also put it in RSVP cap with grip, and then twist it on it. If you make it good, you will write with it.

    3. Take out grip from HGG, and put Signo grip on it (another part, this one with "swellings").

    4. Take out Signo tip from Signo without clicker and put it into these two grips. If you want, you can stick it to the grips.

    5. I take some rings from my MX2 and put it on the pen. Take these grips with tip and put it on the beginning of the pen. It should look like this:

    6. Put the RSVP cap with grips and push it on the and of pen, like in the MX.

    You've got Signo MX!

In my opinion, this pen is quite good. It's got perfect weight for me and you don't feel it's non-symetrical. It's quite heavy, good for arounds and so (I made 3 busts on it, I haven't done this on MSXA or so before)

Looks kinda nice. I guess theres a lot of weight on the ends. I would try it but no rsvps boo...

hate to say it, but this isn't really a new mod. Its just adding more weight to a normal MX.

True, it is really the same as a heavier MX, but the same could be said about an MX^2..

shakeshead.gif I wish people could keep their personal mods to themselves. All theses "new" mod tutorials that come out are generally inferior to already existing pen mods. Sure to you they might have advantages but to the community its just another pointless mod. Just because you can throw together a bunch of pens and make a mod with it doesnt mean you have to make a new thread and post a tutorial. If you just want to show it off theres a thread for that. If you find that a lot of people take interest in it or you feel theres something revolutionary about your mod that people should know, then you can post it. For a mod like this, its highly unlikely that someone else will decide to make it.

every person who wants to post up a mod should have at least 3-5 people saying that they want to see a tutorial for that mod before that new mod tutorial gets posted
like this signo mx should've been posted in the show off your pens thread first and then if 3-5 people ASKS for a tutorial, and if the modder is willing to put it up, THEN the tutorial should be allowed to be put up =\

    It's a nice attempt, good job happy.gif
I think if your serious about getting into modding more seriously,
then you should first post a pic in the show off thread,
then see if enough people want you to post a tut.

Now if you explained it like that people would not have thought you were an asshole wouldn't they?

Enough of the bitch fights..not be moderator, but I may not agree that this mod was worth releasing. Stay on topic. I'm tired of seeing people like Jaybles seem like they own the place. @Jaybles, People have opinions, DEAL WITH IT.

Now back to the mod itself

    ******BLATANT CRITICISM WARNING******

1.) When you make mods, ask yourself this, I tell this to all modders, "Why should I spin This over What I currently do now?"
-in all honesty I can't find a reason to.
The gripping scheme is a bit Gawdy.
Everything is End-weight dependent (which means you have to Toss the mod to spin it)
It's too much money for what you can make instead.
    *******************************************
2.) Thank you for using the proper tutorial format.

3.) The reason it wouldn't be considered a new mod is because all your doing is adding weight to an original mod.
EXAMPLE: If you took a Dr. Kt and put a couple of heavy bolts in each cap doesn't change the mod, its just becoming heavier. All your doing is taking some grips and putting some on each end. Doesn't sound much different now does it?

4.) If your trying to defend yourself making it seem like an MX². Don't, the MX² became a new mod because it uses twice as many pens with unique traits (The introduction of the grip ring system). Gluing 2 Tips together and adding more weight to the back to it center balanced. This was something new, If you had come up with putting a signo over a HGG tip maybe a year back it probably would've been something new.

    SIDE NOTES:

*** Before posting a tutorial post the pen in the SHOW OFF YOUR PENS THREAD and then see how the community reacts to it***
***If the community responds positively WITH comments, then feel free too, if not I'd just keep it to yourself***

    THIS IS NOT BASHING!
    This is constructive critism.

then why does comssa metallic count as a mod......

In the wiki Metallic comssa is listed under the main comssa article because it is a variation of the comssa. Same goes for bonkura KT's. Only MMX seems to not follow this pattern I guess because its part of Kam's revolutionary rsvp mods

We need another thread about "new" mod discussion. This is not the place to argue about this.

It looks nice, and fairly heavy
I do have to agree with pholord in saying that its a personal mod
Although its good to share your variation on a mod, the Show Off Your Pens thread would be a better place for this
