    i'm wondering if anyone has tips to keep a combo looking smooth. I often have short pauses between two tricks, is there something that can be done to keep it looking smooth, like small bridge tricks just to keep things from looking so choppy? Maybe this question should be brought up on a combo to combo basis but i figure i'll ask anyways.

    I'll give an example, Twisted Sonic 23-12 > shadow 12-23

    I end up sticking my thumb in there to situate the pen to get it in a spot to perform the shadow...it looks like crap. Sometimes i put an extra charge in the middle but i'm not sure if that looks any better than just moving the pen with your thumb....

    After trying to do your example combo I find that starting the twisted sonic with alot more pen on the palm side makes it easier. Don't know if that made since but instead of starting holding the pen at the COG but holding it more toward the tip seems to make it easier.

    But the main thing is practice.

    Yea kno matter how unsmooth a combo seems to be when you first practice it, you will eventually do it so much that it does become smooth. Just pay attention to pen positioning and work with what you are familiar with first.

    I see what you mean, that does make it a lot better... actually i think i learned something really important from that. Thanks! I find that a lot of times, i'll do a trick, pause, and do another trick, rather than keep a continous combination going....i think i figured out something very important today. laugh.gif

    For individual tricks:

    1. Learn the trick
    2. Master the trick
    3. Put it in a combo

    For combos:

    Let's imagine the following

    Trick 1 --> Trick 2 --> Trick 3 --> Trick 4 --> Trick 5

    After mastering them all do the following:
    Trick 1 --> Trick 2
    Trick 1 --> Trick 2 --> Trick 3...

    With time you'll be able to do it faster and with less difficulty.

    On that particular combo, after you do the twisted sonic continue the charge like motion into a shadow.I woul prefer holding the pen palm down andmuch above the COP before starting the combo. Otherwise, for normal combos you should start of by knowing how to link lots of tricks. If you know how to do the:
    1 - Twisted sonic - Shadow combo
    2 - sonic rise fall harmonic
    3 - Twisted Sonic - TA
    4 - Sonic - Neo sonic
    5 - Neo sonic - FL TA Rev.....you could

    Twisted sonic- shadow- Twisted sonic- TA- TA Rev- Sonic rise fall harmonic- Neo bak- FL TA Rev.

    That was just an example.You could do much more..
