looking at the video, i see 3 tricks. Hitting the pen on the table, hitting the tip of the pen on the table, and hitting the wrist on the table. Plus using both of the hands. Are there more?

hmm yes... but it's all about making good rhythm...
a drummer USUALLY only has a limited number of pieces (basic kit: 4 pieces) compared to a pianist (88 keys) or other instruments, its the rhythm that counts. -

ugh... bang= hitting ur wrist, tap = hitting the top tip of the pen slam = hitting the whole pen

I do this to TELL ME WHEN TO GO - E40. I also beat box the bass of the song w/ the tapping so it's all swell.

I remember when I was young... I was trying to do that except not to that degree of musicness, the teacher confiscated my pen! That was the pen I liked a lot at the time. Lesson learnt.

this is pretty awsome lol. Its like a drum kit witht eh wrist thing as teh base, the entire pen slam as teh snare, and the tip of hte pen as the high hat.
