Yes, no more complaining about the reputation list not being updated fast enough!
We now have eBay-style feedback system for traders/buyers/sellers.
You can access feedback system on the top right of the forum. Direct link: http://www.upsb.info/forum/index.php?autocom=tt_trader
You can also access feedback system on any thread in Trading forum + every post in the "Trading partners" sticky has the menu.
How to submit feedback
Find the thread/post of the trade you want to leave feedback. Click "Submit feedback for this topic". Then just follow the instructions!
Rating Summary: Describe the trade.
Type: Positive +, Neutral =, Negative -.

FINALLY a Penspinning forum starts using this!
But don't you have to update the already existing Whitelist +'s? -
Date: Mon, Jun 23 2008 02:56:16
the whitelist has been updated to include all trades from the trade rep thraed.
unfortunately I cannot add those feedback into the new system.
However, for the sake of trading, any + collected in the whitelist is as valid as the new feedback system so you can just mention your count in the trade rep list. -

You can now check feedback through a user's profile (at least quick stats+last three feedbacks) with the feedback profile tab. Just go to any user's profile and click on the feedback tab located between Teams and Comments.

I have overlooked the situation where one spinner has a trade thread, but the other does not. In that situation, the spinner who has a thread cannot submit feedback for the other without using the "manual" method.
I have therefore lifted the URL restriction. In other words, you can leave feedback without having to fill in the URL field. You can leave it blank.
The tutorial will be updated to reflect that change.
Furthermore, the old list has been added into the new system. -

System updated to reflect the reputation from the old list
Tutorial updated http://www.upsb.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=7772
(URL is optional, you can therefore add feedback for people without trade thread/post)
Top trader is K4S at +34, 100% positive
Don't forget to report erroneous/bogus feedbacks. -

I'm sorry for this revival but I have two things I wanna say..
1. Edit: Err.. I read the answer in the Moderator's Lounge, ignore this -.-''
2. Gift receiving. Can we add a +1 feature for receiving gifts from others. Sometimes people have just given me free stuff and I feel like I should just give them +1 for being nice and whatnot. It also proves their validity as a trader if they send free stuff. Of course, if the person doesn't receive the "gift" or free pen/stuff, no -1 should be added... But i think a +1 as a gift receiver should be added.
Once again, sorry for reviving such an old thread >< -

I like that idea, JC
It would certainly differentiate the people that usually give freebies and the people that don't.
Cuz with the system now, you can't really differentiate, even with a lot of positive feedback. :\
Plus, it's always fun to know that you're trading with someone that might give you a free gift! (like glamouraz ) -

Um... not exactly what I was thinking... cause you could +1 feedback as trader, and then add in the description that you guys traded this <--> that + extras
I was thinking that I would be able to show people that I got blue comssa caps from tek or a blue jimnie cap from jublyx entirely for free... They weren't added to a trade of any sort. They were just gifts given by generous people =\ and I'd like people to know that I guess...? -

yeah...that's a nice idea, but on the other hand...gifts are gifts...If people know they'll be getting +1 feedback for a gift, then it's not really a gift anymore...but a trade for feedback xD
Taking the worst case scenario (not that most people would do this) of a scammer. If he wants to build up a quick reputation, and knows that he might get +1 for a free gift, he might do the following:
He starts off with a new account, and pretend he doesn't know anything about PS.
After talking to a few people, he makes a small trade with someone, to get a beginner mod, then continues to talk to the trader asking for some advice on tricks and what not. But then a week or so later, he sends the original trader a really small gift (say a RSVP), saying that it was just a way to thank for all the help he's been getting.
The trade itself should get him +1. The gift, another +1. If he repeats this process with another 2 people, he's already got +6 feedback, which is more than enough feedback for people to start trusting him. And he's spent less than $20 to get this far.
Now, he starts mass trading and scams a couple hundred worth in pens before he's caught and the account banned.
See what I mean? although being able to give +1 for someone nice is a real good gesture, it could be misused. -

Hmm... I see your point =\ alright... well, I dunno, it was just an idea I threw out there =P
